A microwave. The wife will not have one on the counter and there’s no way to mount under a cabinet.

for me it’s the money and principle. It’s not a big deal to drive 10 minutes down the road and back to get my food so why would I waste money paying someone to deliver it to me.
Ultimately, it is a value of time vs value of money issue. The more you have of the latter the more valuable the first one gets.
It is the same with paying to have your house cleaned, having your lawn cut, or your pool maintained. I pay for all these and many other mundane chores. They all allow for more unencumbered time which is one of the few assets with a limit set in stone. I do perform most repairs and maintenance duties inside the home because I can and you often spend more time dealing with/waiting for contractors than it takes to just DIY.

Everything you said makes sense but not having a smart phone in this day & age is mind boggling….how do you post/lurk on TD while not at home?
Unlike many people in today's world, I do not feel the need to be "connected" when out doing real things with real people.
I'm definitely not one to buy a ticket to a ball game, sit in the stands and have my face glued to a phone screen while the game is being played out live right in front of me. Or head to a neighborhood watering hole and sit at the bar, again head glued to a screen while real friends are there conversing.

CHAT GDP or whatever the frick it is. If I need to write a letter, an email, a nasty text, I'm doing it myself. Its wild to me that no one uses their own brain and resorts to that shite all the time

So all of you claiming you never use DoorDash/Uber eats, you've never had pizza delivered to your house before doordash became a thing?
and i say that as someone who will order from little ceasers when there's kids sleeping over and go pick it up b/c of how easy they make it. But if there's a game on that i'm watching, i'd much rather pay someone $10-15 to bring it to me as opposed to me wasting 25 minutes to go get it myself. There are no quick 10 minute trips anywhere in baton rouge, at least not where i live.
I don't mind tipping someone to deliver me food, it's all the fees that goes with DoorDash and Uber eats that i don't like. $30 for chinese food turns into $54 somehow.

I am literally pulling up to the window why would you do that?
Because it is easier.
How?

Is never order door dash or the likes. But I have no problem with pizza joint delivery.
I don't see myself using a bidet. I time it so I just take a shower right after so much better than a bidet anyway.
I also don't see myself ever paying for an only fans. I don't care how desperate I get, I won't ever pay for some pictures or videos.

I probably wouldn't mind having pizza delivered, but since I pick up all my food I also pick up the pizza.
For me it's not about the cost, it's mostly about controlling the "staleness" of my food. I'm at the restaurant before the food is ready (or not too long after), and I'm out and straight to the house.

The anti-door dash thing is weird to me. I get health issues and quality degradation (although probably not different than getting it yourself).
But if we want some specific restaurant 20 minutes away and i can either load up 3 small kids and spend an hour getting it, or have someone deliver it while we do evening routines and tip them a few bucks…I’m not seeing the major downside.

I hate drive throughs... would rather walk inside and do business.
I park far away from the store, walking never hurt anyone.
But primarily I dont allow myself to become addicted to comfort, because it becomes the new normal and then life's outlooks are skewed.
