If it want raining, we played king if the hil but our hill was a tractor tired buried 1/4 of the way into the ground, tackle football until they took our football away then it became tackle frisbee or tackle hacky sack or tackle wad of paper etc, tag on the big monkey bars, suicide (like wall ball mixed with dodgeball), or tether ball.
If it rained we played man or mouse, pencil break, 4 or 2 square, or had an arm wrestling tourney.
All that until we discovered girls weren’t ickey. Then games changed.

Apparently this thing is called a "gaga pit" and is a weird Israeli version of dodgeball, but neither we nor the teachers seemed to know that. Ours had sand in the bottom and really just served as a UFC octagon. Kids would basically mosh, wrestle, or fight while the lone teacher monitoring us was distracted. Used to Goldberg spear the shite out of my classmates in that thing.
We also had this, which apparently is called "Funnel Ball". No one ever seems to remember this shite when I bring it up, which makes since because it sucked
