I never got paddled, but teachers had them too. Not just the principal. Some elementary teachers had them.

Paddled and whipped with my own belt. Wasn't a big deal until my high school coach got on it one day for getting in conduct trouble. That wasn't funny at all. I actually thought he broke skin.

2nd grade teach Mrs Adcock smacked my hand with a ruler and broke it.
3rd grade I got 3 licks from the principal: That’s what we called it back then.
7th grade I got either 3 licks or 3 days suspension so i took the licks.
Never got spanked by my sixth grade math teacher. Can’t remember her name but she was fine. First crush I ever had so I kissed her arse in class.
