Iraq and Afghanistan were stupid wars so maybe they were correct. They just took it too far with the President thing. I think if they left out the last part they would have been fine and ultimately correct.

You think George HW Bush was a bad person?
He was a spook and ran the Iran-Contra business. There's a reason the Bushes and Clintons were so chummy - completely up to their necks in it.
Reagan didn't like or trust him.

The fundamentally misunderstood who their target audience was. If they were as talented as the Beatles or Hank Williams, they would have been forgiven.

People in this thread are talking as if she suffered a career fail. They might have had some financial repercussions- but besides a lot of talk on a message board it doesn't look to have affected her that much:
Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Natalie Maines' estranged husband is requesting more than $60,000 per month in financial support from the Dixie Chicks singer.
People confirmed Adrian Pasdar, an actor known for his role in the television show Heroes, is seeking $16,427 in child support and $44,076 in spousal support per month from Maines amid their divorce.
Pasdar also requested $350,000 in attorney's fees. He said Maines has a net worth of $50 million and earns about $2 million a year, or $172,000 per month, and will make millions of dollars from her solo tour this year.

Turned out they were correct. The poorly educated whites that turned on them were signing the same tune as them when the gameshow host started saying it.

Wide open spaces? Although I only know that's them because of jokes in this thread.
