Which Walmart? There's good ones and bad ones

When I was living in da Parish I had to avoid Walmart because I’d run into too many patients and couldn’t remember who tf they were. But on the few occasions I’ve been forced into a Covington Walmart, it’s not too shabby.

The good ones don't have the cosmetics locked up.

I'm sorry you had to go through the horrifying experience of going to a store. Perhaps you should just stay home and hide under the bed.

I usually go to the one in Madison, MS. It's actually pretty nice as is the clientele.

Now the one in Ridgeland? Traaaaaashy

The Wal Mart curbside pickup is a great option. My elderly parents use it regularly. I have used it too since developing a knee problem that makes shopping painful at times.

I used to shite on the ones in BR, but I had to visit one in Marietta, GA for my wife the other day for a pickup order.

My list of gripes is as follows:
1) no one would answer the phone for the pickup line
2) I attempted to knock on the glass door and a lady told me they don’t open that door and I have to use the app (my wife has the app, I do not)
3) in walking in to try and engage customer service, there was a man passed out in front of the store with a bottle of liquor in his hand
4) customer service rudely told me that’s not their job and they can’t help
5) in walking outside, someone (presumably a bum or drug addict) tried to engage me and I ignored them. They proceeded to follow me through the parking lot loudly yelling “frick you” non stop
6) upon returning to my car, I again call the line. They answer, deliver item, and just toss it angrily into my truck.

frick

We have two Walmarts in our town, a neighborhood and regular. Neither of them are bad.

Going to Walmart with a group of friends is great if you bring your bingo cards. First one to scratch off green hair, neck tat, pajama pants, fat woman in the electric scooter, hair tacks in the parking lot, shower cap, pink hair, eye brow ring, slippers, blue hair, and a homeless dude asking for a dollar wins.

just like anything, it all depends on where you are at. My wal-mart is relatively decent.

This.
I don't make a habit of going but when I do it's generally a good experience. (NOLA area) Their app knows which store you're shopping in and is accurate wrt to inventory and product location. They also have Scan n Go like Sam's if you're a Walmart+ customer. I can't stomach going into Target - it's like a DEI casting call.

I did chuckle at this sign

My wife refuses to go. Not a whole lot of reason to go anyway since we have the walmart delivery thing. But I went for the first time in a while the other day and it wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered. They had completely remodeled the inside and it was pretty clean and even though it was fairly busy there was no wait.

Yes. I avoided going to any walmart for the ~11 years I lived in the garden district. Since the 4 or so in my general area were so awful, I assumed they were all like that. Since moving to Fort Collins, it is a totally different experience. The stores are neatly organized and clean, they aren't over crowded, and you don't feel like you are going to catch a disease from the other shoppers.

Basically it is how I remember walmart being in the 90's, except they still don't have the lobster tank.

Went to one in Franklin TN a couple weeks ago. Found out there's a BIG difference between that one and the one in Bogalusa. Imagine that.

I love Walmart. I understand the gripes people have but I just mind my own business. Never had anything bad happen to me but I’ve seen a lot of shop lifters and staff chasing after them
