a PayPal invoice to the email address and receive money then transferred the tickets (via Ticketmaster) to that same email address

Have you contacted your local police dept to possibly pursue it as a theft case?

The percentage they take sucks but issues like this are why sites like stubhub are better to use for tickets.

Track down his social media and find a pic posted from the concert. Print some screenshots, media, etc. with time stamps. Mail that along with a letter from your attorney with intention of suing him for the $520 plus attorney's fees and punitive damages for pain an suffering.

Yea. I had them on stub hub as well but posted it on Craigslist to see if anyone would bite with a cheaper price to save the fees

Don't think so, but they will threaten to take it to collections if you don't pay.

Something similar happened to me years ago. I bought tickets on ebay to a show. I later sold the tickets on ebay because I couldn't go. The show was cancelled. The original buyer was issued a refund for the tickets, not me. I tried contacting the original buyer but got no response. The person I sold the tickets to won the dispute with paypal. i think I eventually paid. but it was about $100.

I wouldn't pay the $520. If guy told credit card company he was hacked, that's his and his bank's problem, not yours.

I mean he was probably hacked but I’m not sure why I should be help responsible for this dude falling for a phishing scam when my sale was legit.

There's no way in hell I would sell tickets outside of StubHub personally. I'll eat the 15%. At least with physical items, you can get them back. You're just plain screwed.

Have you considered checking the buyer's knuckles?

I've never had anything go wrong with PayPal. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Tell them if they take money out of your account, you will file a dispute with your bank and they will likely lose since you have proof that you completed the sale.

I had someone draft $500 out of my paypal a few months ago. Trying to get anyone on the phone there was impossible, just got an email days later to tell me I won the dispute and they proved it to be fraudulent.
