Weddings are selfish. Nobody cares that youre getting married. No I am not going, no im not giving you a gift. Why do people spend so much money on this when 90% of the people in attendance dont want to be there?

I enjoy the weddings of those Im close to.
No one else's.
People do spend way too much money on them.

Ugh wtf? You know how easy it is to pick drunk and hormone-overloaded bridesmaids at the reception?

Did you have a wedding?
I think extravagant weddings are retarded, how about a decent honeymoon or saving/down payment for a house instead

Weddings used to be an accountability tool,
Traditionally, at least in Christian denominations that I'm familiar with
a wedding was held as a way of having the community invest in the marriage and hold the couple accountable. That's why they were doing it in public and swearing before God
thats a serious pledge
Now it's a chance to take Instagram pics
even more important than the actual ceremony

I got married in an insurance office by a notary. No attendees. It was great!

You sure do care a lot about something you claim to not care about.

Not near as selfish as funerals. Look at me, I'm dead. Talk good about me, blah, blah, blah. I spit on your grave, you attention hound.

Seems like someone’s ex-boyfriend is getting married and you are a jealous bitch.

A friends daughter scheduled her wedding on a Saturday night in the fall.
The SAME night and time LSU was playing Alabama in BR.
Here's the kicker------both bride and groom were recent LSU grads........

Weddings are fun as hell I’m not sure what weddings you are going to.
Free food, drinks, dancing, and people having fun. WTH is not to like besides the Catholic Church service?

I love weddings. Free food, booze, and wife gets all gooshy and bothered with bare minimum effort.

What a funny way to say "I'm never invited to any weddings."

Real Catholics just do the sacramental service and not a full Mass.
In and out, and on to what matters, which is the reception.
