Usually arts, entertainment and music reflect the culture that it’s in. So in this case I agree with you.

I have serious nostalgia for Baton Rouge in the early to mid-80s. Definite high point for the city.

That’s true for most cities. For one reason. After gangster rap became popular, that was all she wrote.

And culture is heavily influenced by demographics. 80's culture was great (as was the 90's), but demographics plays a big part in the 80's memberberries.

I was there, but I would nominate an era I missed: the late '60s

A/C was becoming common, and the city basically didn't go beyond Airline

And demographics were favorable at 70%

Agree. The 80's will never be topped. The 60's have to be a close second (60's music was amazing)

I’m too young to have an honest opinion of the 80’s being born in 81 but the 90’s to mid 2000’s were pretty cool. I love the 80’s nostalgia that I remember as a kid. The constant negativity from social media is what fricked everything up. Every fricking retard feels like they need to voice there opinion on politics and it’s fricking terrible.

1994/1995 was the peak, just before tech became too powerful but was still fun. Had privacy, some kick arse gaming systems and lots of freedom.

Eh…:I have to say that the arbitrary designation of starting with the third number the decade is wrong.

Give me 1984 to 1994 as the peak.

Bc for many of us here, it was our younger years. And the country hadn’t yet gone full ghetto.

When could push a button on my phone and Amazon guy puts something on my porch, a naked lady does interesting stuff on the screen and I can place a $ bet on if my favorite athlete will beat his girlfriend on or not…

Downhill from there.

I was born in 75. As a kid in the early and mid 80s, life was great. It was fantastic.

I wish kids of today could experience the world I grew up in as a kid.

Born in the 80's (88)

Product of, but never experienced first hand. I do know the culture though. It was a great time I bet.
