What they need to do is what the UK did and require all nutrition labels to be “per 100g” instead of some vague made up serving.

Latisha and Juanita want to know what a g of food be. They know what a g of coke be though.

Bribed FDA govt officials, big Food corp execs (high fructose corn syrup, added sugars, seed oils etc…) should be sued into bankruptcy if not imprisoned.

Healthy foods should be subsidized in general, and even more so for food stamp programs.

Food containing high fructose corn syrup, added sugars, seed oils etc should have a high sin tax like cigarettes with proceeds used to fund healthcare.

Real and accurate healthy eating and lifestyle principles should be required(by the states) curriculum in grade school, high school, and college. Personal finance also.

I’m sure RFK Jr will come up with some of these same ideas.

Corn is real food. People have been growing it for centuries with no issues.

Hes a flaming progressive.

Progressives excuse shitty behavior and blame systems. This is why nothing ever seems to get better under their plans.

So after the Surgeon General’s warning was placed on cigarettes, the companies that produced cigarettes purchased food manufacturers and dedicated the research and technology to creating addictive foods.

Now 30 years later warnings are going to be placed on these addictive food products.

What are they going to move to next. Our water or air?

If they want to help people make healthier choices they can start with taking all the preservatives and chemicals out of our food.

Let them die.

The problem is that they don't die until they are in their late 50s or 60s and have spent 30 years straining the frick out of the healthcare and insurance systems.

You really wanna make an impact? I can buy 50mg of lab tested tirz from China for $100. Work on making that price standard for getting these drugs and start pushing them on the obese population. If that price can be the standard starting price, I'd be on board with government subsidizing that down to $10 a week for the end users out of pocket.

I just look at the actual numbers. They're already on the label and more useful.

No.

They are only required to report monosaccharides. Meaning they WAY underreport sugar.

There are dozens of loopholes like this one “nutrition” labels.

not sure - back in the day I did research for the endocrinology dept at children’s and then I worked a year at food stamps. Now I work for a church that provides financial assistance- 20 years later same stuff.
