I don’t think anyone who is truly honest can ever claim It’s not scenically beautiful.

I stayed away from any political discussions, etc. I will also say this for them, their was a damn park every 15 minutes. Other some crusty old Bastard at hotel “Good morning” His Response, “ I don’t know what’s good about it yet. “ Grumble Grumble grumble. (Hard to resist not saying “Well you are old as dirt and still alive unlike about 1 million old fricks over last two years”

Thanks for the info. Going to be on the Boswell farm but will travel over to Sequoia National Park and maybe Yosemite.

Did the drive couple years ago. I highly recommend it. The next time we go back, we are going to do the northern leg of it, duck hunt in the valley, and head down to Coronado to visit family. I highly recommend staying in Morro Bay. Also a lot of places do not have air conditioning along the coast.

Its wildly diverse too. There are some gorgeous places in Cal for sure.
I don't think the desert or central valley are very scenic.
