Hit on his girlfriend in front of him, walk around naked at all times, bang a lot of girls in the house, have friends over all the time, eat his food, use his stuff without asking - you can get out of the lease

We all know OP is too chicken shite to do anything or he would have already done it. He will just hide in his room and vent about his roommate until June. Man up, loser!!!!

take a shite on the coffee table right in front of both of them, then go sit on the sofa and wipe your arse with it.
they will break the lease for you and insist you leave

Change the locks.. And whatever he expects you to do.. Don't do it.

Wish I wouldn’t have voted for you now.

So I’m living with his guy that i was buddies with for a while leading up to us getting a place. Dude has turned into a complete dick since moving in though and I’ve about reached my limit. His bitch of a gf is always over and he’s given her a key without talking to me. He’s gotten a dog without asking (against the lease) and expects me to take care of him when he’s not here even though I’ve told him to frick off. On top of other smaller things that have just started to pile up. Our lease is until June but I don’t think I’ll make it to then without killing the dude. Would I have any good way to get out of this before then? Reading I’ve fit it seems like I’m pretty well locked in until the end but wasn’t sure if there’s usually some loophole or something.
Knew I should’ve just stayed by myself.

Rat him out for having a dog
People keep saying this, but unless I missed something, OP and - - let's call the "roommate" "Toddy" -- are both on the lease with landlord. So, again, unless I'm missing something, they are probably jointly and severally liable to the landlord under the lease. Ratting out the roommate us essentially ratting out one's self.
The OPs legal relationship with Toddy is sort of irrelevant here, at the current juncture.
Question for OP: is this landlord a management co/larger complex who would ding your credit report? OP could move out and stop paying rent. Then the former roommate would either have to pay all the rent or get evicted. Let him come after OP. (seems unlikely). If Toddy doesn't pay rent then LL could go after OP, but if it's the sort of place that relets quickly (and depending on what state this is in), damage would be minimal.

Say he called you the N word.
Easy fix.
Then you can get out of the lease and get him fired from his job too. You dont need any proof, an allegation is usually more than enough.

Is there a written lease? Did both of you sign it as tenants?

Don't ask meaningful questions. Leave the TV lawyers in this thread to their idiocy.

had an eerily similar situation to yours
lifelong friend turned roommate was good guy with unlimited potential, but got lazy and let drugs take hold of him, had a (basically) live-in girlfriend that would leave her german shepherd at our condo, would go out and party and let people sleep on our couch while he slept out somewhere, etc etc etc.
he wasnt on the lease and technically subleased from me, so I tried asking him to fix all the issues, he got mad and we went at it, then i told him to pack his shite
ETA: we were best friends since 6th grade and we haven't talked in over 3.5 years. still crazy to think about.

Neither does the landlord. The landlord isn't going to release you from the lease because your roommate violated the lease.
No, but if OP finds a roommate to replace him with (or agrees to pay rent in full) the landlord might kick the dickhead roommate out.

damn
I had almost this exact same scenario 10ish years ago
luckily we just got kicked out due to the dog and I made my roommate pay for the rest of the lease

Why would i willingly throw away cash to live further away from work and the nightlife? It makes sense for plenty of people.

Leave innocuous suicide letters around the apartment with some suggesting that you would love to do a murder suicide before you do it. Leave a couple of knives out on the kitchen table = profit!

Join the military.
If you get stationed somewhere else, the landlord cannot enforce the penalties portion of the contract.
But Uncle Sam has your arse for a few years due to his contract with you.
