Not sure how you get around the cameras and sensors in those cars . You'll be hit with a fine on your Cc and that will stop most people.

do they know how to respond to a carjacking by 'teens.'
With all the AI sensors in those things I'm sure they'll just shut down . It will take someone with a sophisticated tech knowledge to steal one.

Waymos are awesome, and cheaper than rideshares, or at least they were when I used them in Phoenix.

Waymo primarily uses the all-electric Jaguar I-PACE for its public robotaxi service, but has also used and retrofitted Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivans. The company has a partnership with Jaguar Land Rover to equip I-PACE SUVs with Waymo's self-driving technology.

No thanks. I’d rather have a real driver than can floor it if things looks sketchy.

Just get one of those window breaking keychains. I have a fear they would drive me into the river and lock the doors.

I wonder if they have “under car” sensors?
If not, it’ll be fun to ride around Lakeview and watch the chassis parts get hung up on protruding manholes….

I have endured some awful cab and Uber rides due to poor driving, bad conversation and drivers who smelled like camel sweat.
I get that cabbies are mostly a roll of the dice, but your uber rider rating must be garbage. I've never encountered any of those issues in an uber.

If they can navigate around downtown Austin (limited area for the vehicles) they will be fine in downtown & CBD Nola.
I don't think the risk is them navigating streets as much as a certain group of people in New Orleans stealing them and/or destroying them.

They’ve been robbing Amazon trucks. I saw an ambulance stolen the other day.
There’s a difference between successfully stealing one, and just messing up a good thing. I think we are picturing the latter.
Roll in the catastrophic road conditions that also get cars stuck and….

Waymo will need to upgrade their fleet to operate in NOLA

How much can you strip off of a driverless car?
“Waymo”
