He’s taken into custody now, right?
Even if he hadn't been in jail the whole time, rarely they let people gather their affairs, but they aren't going to let a guy like this out to await sentencing for a crime and case of this magnitude. It would be guilty verdict read and cuffed and off to jail to await sentencing.

For someone who has watched the entire trial.
I know the pos was representing himself. But what was his angle exactly?
Was he trying to prove that it wasnt him driving the truck, was he trying to claim it was all an accident, or was he trying to claim insanity?

He didn't have a coherent argument the whole time. He tried to imply that it was some combination of a vehicle malfunction, panic, coercion from someone else in the car, etc. but never showed evidence for any of it. On top of being a "sovereign citizen" and insisting the court had no jurisdiction over him

Throw anything and everything at the wall and see if something sticks.

I hope duhrell has to sit through the entire thing

At the end... I think his main tactic ended up being do anything & everything possible to get a mistrial
Drag it out literally as long as possible

Can't wait for the scummy Wisconsin appellate courts to give this pro se clown a new trial for ineffective assistance of counsel.

Not allowed. He forfeited that appeal argument by going per se in the trial.

While I grant you that he did have the dumbest son of a bitch alive as his lawyer, he chose that of his own free will.

Nah....that was his choice. Admittedly, he had ineffective counsel, but he chose that route.

They should have found him not guilty on some of the lesser charges and read those first. Then take a 15 break so we could watch him gloat, smile and look over around him like he`s getting away with something and giving him hope.
I was part of jury for a civil suit. Voted against plaintiff, so I didn’t do much with amount awarded. Jury was ready to go and also didn’t want to come back next day, and they lazily just lumped what they thought was proper total compensation into first injury category listed making it too high and awarded $0 for all the rest of them making at least a couple too low.
Person got very happy at first and then kept getting more and more disappointed.

The best I could ascertain based on his closing was the issue of intent.
