I live on False River and have a 4 year old little girl to protect.

We found and killed a cotton mouth just barely 2 weeks ago.

Blowing all the leaves out of the yard and removing places they can hide as easily was next order up on the chore list after liberating him of his head.

There is no real reason not to eradicate venomous snakes. The people that say otherwise are full of shite. Hawaii did and maybe they have a few extra mongooses, other than that no real harm to the ecosystem. It will adapt just fine.

Hawaii never had snakes in the first place. They're not native to the island and its ecosystem didn't adapt to their disappearance, you retard.

Anyone have any interesting experiences with snakes?

When it floods they like hanging out on my front walkway, so at night I always use a headlamp.

I took an edible once and I had almost convinced myself that a shotgun was the best way to take care of it.

This dude got ripped off then.

I guess if I get bit I'll just go to the crooked vet.

Well obviously you have some love for frogs, otherwise you wouldn’t have intervened.

Why would a snake need a bath? Can't it just shed its skin?

That is a gorgeous and terrifying danger noodle. I didn't know that you can/should put your snakes in water periodically to encourage them to hydrate.

We have a king snake in the flower beds. Takes every ounce of me not to kill it every time I see it.

Trying to convince a woman not to kill is tough, as well.

Yeh the prices we see are usually highly inflated bc insurance companies only pay a fraction of that.

As for the anti venom I have heard some people get over 20 vials of it...some insane amount

We have water moccasins near my place. Huge amount in a little marsh area on my property. Ran over a group of them on the ATV a couple of weeks ago. Just really hope one doesn't find the kid while he is out playing. He won't realize they are dangerous.

Holy fricking crap balls!

I’ve been catching snakes for close to 50 years, and even seeing a coral snake in the wild is a dream - but that gave me serious anxiety watching that. Kid shoulda bought a lotto ticket after that. Damn.

I've heard coral snakes have to practically chew on you to inject venom. Not sure if true.
