Asked them about it and they are planning to be fully exited from WA state by 12/31/2027.

They need to finish updates to their condo before selling and they are gone. They both can work remote so location is not a factor for them.

They will likely exit to Texas or Florida as they are both staunch conservatives and were there for location reasons and just settled there.

Stop ducking me, Mr. Bleeding Heart. I'll ask again.

When is it enough? When have you taxed the "rich" enough?

Why is the answer to never be more efficient with the funds the government has? Why not explore cutting shite that is wasteful, ineffective, or kicking the freeloaders off the rolls?

Why do you feel entitled to more money from the "rich"?

Also, can you please tell the class your definition of "rich"?

Supposedly, this is in household income. But remember, this is in adjusted gross income.

For now. We know from history that this threshold will slowly be lower over time and in a decade every Tom, Dick, and Harry in WA state will be paying an income tax.

You have to leave when this shite starts because this won't stop.

These politicians can never have enough of "rich" people's money and conveniently define "rich" as whatever they need it to be take as much money as they can.

frick em. Just move out and vote with your feet.

Hear me out: Starbucks is not the haven of good coffee people think it is.

hasnt got anything to do with good coffee. The mega rich owner/founders moved his whole family to Florida and opened a new "branch" corporate office in Nashville. It is not a coincidence that both states have no income tax.

Do states with high income taxes struggle to do so?

I read in the Seattle Times this morning that Seattle will increase property taxes to fund $400 million in renovations for the Seattle Public Libraries.

Look at all the billionaires who have left, or who are about to leave California because of the taxes: Charles Schwab, Larry Ellison, Steven Spielberg, Mark Zuckerberg and that Sergei guy who cofounded Google. Can’t say that I blame them. Stay tuned.

Taxes are nothing but a “shell game”. Either you pay income tax, you pay sales tax, or you pay property tax. The government has to have revenue no matter what.

The nontard portions of WA, OR, and ID should all just make a new state. ID is still pretty solid so the other two could just join it. I know this isn’t a new idea. But do it people. Time to let people who want socialism die on the vine.
