Just not fun anymore. Pain in the arse the next day. What's life like outside of getting blitzed for games and whatnot?

CAN you quit drinking is the real question here.

You mean Sunday - Thursday without heavy drinking? It's called a normal week for most adults.

It's called drinking in moderation

I quit drinking in 1992. For me, life without drinking is much better. I can think of one, maybe two times during that stretch when I really felt like having a drink. But the craving quickly faded, especially when I thought about hangovers.
Alcohol is a truly shitty high in my opinion. A waste of time and money.

I think I'm at the point where I just can't drink for a prolonged period anymore. Usually, that has to do with football. I rarely drink during the week and can and do go entire weekends without drinking. But cracking a beer at 3PM and going until the late games has just really begun to tank my Sundays and make me feel useless and shitty on Mondays.

It's pretty good when you know your limit and stop prior to getting "blitzed".
Honestly is all about staying hydrated.

Find your local track and attempt to run. The embarrassment alone will make you reconsider.

I quit and life is much better. If you really want to quit, try reading "Control Alcohol" by Annie Grace or my favorite one is "Kick the Drink Easily" by Jason Vale. Both books basically have the same concept, but Annie Grace refers to Vale's book a lot.

Weed works well for some people, and there's no hangover the next day.

If you are not a real alcoholic you are being over dramatic..

Whenever I drink in moderation, I find myself hating drinking. I get really tired and get headaches and am in a bad mood. Since drinking heavily is rarely an option, I just don't drink unless it's a special occasion.
