I thought the meeting at the school was on Oct 4th.
I went and relooked at Unfiltered articles, and the date is messed up. The 4th is a Wednesday. Tuesday is used more than the 4th, so meeting probably was on 3rd

Kaylee was called into a meeting Tuesday morning, Oct. 4 with the Walker High Principal Jason St. Pierre and asst. principal where she was told he would no longer endorse her for one of two scholarships, her title as the SGA president was taken from her and spoke to her about her religious decisions in the video.

The longer this goes on, the worse it’s going to be and it’ll go beyond WHS…
St. Pierre, do the honorable thing and resign…take Becnel with you.
LPSB and LP govt: get with your area legislators and get her a full ride to Tulane!

The founding father's didn't want a state sponsored religion, like England.
Yes but technically the founding fathers only limited it at the fed level with the 1st amendment.
Supreme Court through the 14th amendment incorporated the establishment clause to start being applied to the states in 1947 with Everson v. Board of Education.

Did you not read his statement where he essentially admitted as much?
No, I didn't. If it came out in the last 36 hours, I was glued to the WAR in Israel.
That being said, if what you say is true, then I'm sure my response would have been different.

I get why he made a statement. He's a narcissistic who thinks his words are gold, but to flat out lie about a meeting that Ms. Timonet knows nothing about.
Then he places partial blame on Kaylee for the "Bible talk".
And.....makes it about himself, with how tough his job is bullshite. This guy is a functioning certifiable sociopath.
Seems like he's always been this way & it's finally caught up to him. I hope she gets millions.

Sidebar question, I know the mayor of NOLA can give up to 5 four year scholarships to Tulane and each legislator can give one one-year one…BUT does the Governor have any? Just seems odd in Louisiana if the gov couldn’t give any?

This is probably going to cost the LPSS a lot of money in legal fees and payouts.
I would be surprised if the ACLU don’t get involved where the LPSS will have to setup policies to stop this or have some type of federal monitor to watch over this.
All this over a principal who overstepped their boundaries.
At the end of the day he is going to cost the system too much money and a black eye to keep around.

I went to Denham schools while he was Vice Principle and held other positions. This shocks none of us.

I just got word from pretty reliable sources that St Pierre resigned this morning
Posted on 10/9/23 at 7:40 am to JTM72
Heard he either resigned or was fired this morning....not sure which one
Posted on 10/9/23 at 7:54 am to TreyE663
Heard he’s cleaning his office before the kids got there

I don’t care which, as long as he is gone.
Did the assistant principal who was in on this get forced out as well?

Anything going to happen to Becnel?
Posted on 10/9/23 at 8:00 am to denhamtiger
What about Becnel? She needs to be moved at a minimum, but getting rid of her too seems to be a good idea.

The principal and VP both sound like dumbasses.
The fact they bring religion into a public school about a non-school affiliated event screams how out of touch with reality they are

I’m sure we will hear more of the story later, especially when any lawsuits resolve, but the theory floated is that the assistant principal had the victim targeted because she was a rival of her own daughter.

That's exactly how it reads, and if that is in fact the angle, they do both need to go. Using religious principles in top of that as an excuse for their motive is despicable.

Win one for the good guys. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
He overstepped this time, and I’m willing to bet he’s done it before. Educators are educators. Stay in your lane.
