The nightmare of every parent. I know a family in CenLa whose 20 year old son is in ICU from a late night accident.

There but for the grace of God go I.

Curious, do you have a teen driver?

I do and so do several friends in our circle. I can assure you that none of us have issues with 17 yr olds not being allowed to drive after 11pm.

Hard for me to understand why you'd take issue with it.

My kid is the same age. Was driving a friend home and passed it after the cops arrived. Said it was really bad. It’s a fine line you walk between bubble-wrapping your kids and letting them grow up. I can’t imagine what the parents are going through.

Which is why banning guns is a dumb take from the brigade when people are killed by all manners of shite tragically.

And before anyone complains about politics, these exact type of incidents drive drinking age and driving age policies.

A 17 year old at 1 am is more dangerous than a driver that had a couple drinks

I work with a guy who has a daughter that’s a senior at WHS, she is also a cheerleader. Praying this isn’t his child and also the family of the deceased.

am probably in the minority, but if you are 100% not at fault, I don’t think you should get a DWI.

100% agree. Just because you are over the limit doesn't mean you are impaired.

My worst nightmare in every way.
I’ve lived through something similar and I have a daughter who I pray for her safety daily

Praying for this family.

But it’s illegal to be over the limit while driving. So you are breaking the law. You should get a DWI because that’s the law. What shouldn’t happen is that blame automatically gets assigned to you if you weren’t at fault.

Because anyone over 40 here & from Louisiana started driving at 15. This is a very sad story but it’s not that big of a deal
