I think people in Europe like to make money too

There are a lot of stuff they ban that we allow in food. Growth hormones injected into to milk cows to increase production is one. Bromenated vegetable oil is another item that is used in fast food here that they ban.

If you're talking GMO, there isn't a scintilla of evidence that it has any negative health effects whatsoever.

I would say that the average European is generally healthier (except the British - they are nearly as fat as Americans these days). They are more active, but that's not the primary reason. It's portion size and the amount of processed foods we eat that are the primary culprit.

I would stridently disagree that the average European is more refined. They can speak more languages, for sure, but that would be the case here as well if Texas and Georgia and New York all spoke different languages. We have more Spanish speakers than the Iberian peninsula, as a comparison. The average European is no more or less refined or interesting than the average American, in my experience.

Agreed, the speaking of different/multiple languages is out of need not out of cultural refinement.

The only additional language that makes sense functionally to learn in the US is maybe Spanish.

We were just in Italy and sat next to a New Yorker that lived in Italy for 10 years and is in the restaurant biz. He basically said Italy has super stringent laws on food, and the food there isn't pumped full of junk and over chemicalled like ours, so you don't get fat. the meat especially has a big difference, and obviously processed foods

Every country on the Euro I went to was similar. Places east of Austria had the same type and quality of food.

It's called real sugar, not corn syrup.

Most everyone speaks 4 languages fluently. Switzerland, for example, speaks German, French, Italian and Romanish. That's their native languages except almost everyone speaks English. So the majority of the population speaks fluently at least 5 languages. That is impressive.

Americans have little reason to learn another language. America is a huge country with a lot of geographical diversity. We're not a tiny country surrounded by other tiny countries who speak totally different languages. At best there is a smattering of folks in Canada who speak primarily French. Mexico is obviously Spanish speaking, but again, the average American has very little reason to ever travel to Mexico.

It's called high fructose corn syrup. Americans are addicted to it, and that's why we are fat.

Cut that shite out of your diet.
