Another big reason is the cost of food

An American can round up a 1000+ calorie meal for $7

In Europe that would set you back $20

Trust me, euros that move here get fat with the quickness

the biggest reason why Americans are fat compared to Europe is because of portion size

Listen to Swedish hockey players talk. Most speak perfect English. Barely even an accent. They speak better than Americans. Over 90% of the Swedish population is English fluent.

And the Swiss speak all those languages because the Swiss language does not exist. Their English grasp in less. Especially in certain parts near France.

Yes. America created a society that had a level of surplus that was unfathomable and unrivaled by any society that human history ever produced. That cheap, processed food also ruined our health

The average European is more refined and much healthier than the average American.

They do a few things right over there.

Healthier? Yes.

Refined? Baywatch was hugely popular there.

I agree with, the snack thing. I don't have to be in the office everyday, but every time I go to the office, the receptionist has at least 1 bag of some type of chips, cookies etc open on her desk, and a bowl of candy within reach. Washing it down with a Diet Coke! She is huge. We don't get a lot of walk in people other than company employees, so management does not have a problem with snacking constantly.

I spent 2 weeks in England last month and found them to be as fat if not fatter than the US. Even among the young - a few I met jogged or played soccer but as a whole they were more sedentary than us.

We're fat because we drive everywhere. They also eat better food, less sweats and smaller portions.

You didn't read my entire post, did you? Most of what you wrote is a myth.

They eat a ton of sweets. Ice Cream for example. They order french fries with mayonnaise on them. They smoke and all of them smoke like freight trains. We are WAY ahead of them in the nonsmoking trend.

If you mean individual countries, yeah, but the idea that Europe, as a whole, is a homogeneous society is at odds with history.

Exactly, socialism is beautiful.

1. Everyone stays thin no matter what they put into their bodies

2. You can speak multiple languages

3. Less homeless people

They don't walk that much. Walking hardly burns shite for calories when you look at what they eat.

They move around more. They walk more. They also work less. Cortisol is a stress hormone that cause weight gain. They tend to be less stressed due to working less and moving around, walking, etc more.

So they aren't nearly as fat.

Yep, the government should mandate that companies cant work their employees more than 30 hours a week.
