Ville Platte Mayor wants Nat. Guard machine guns to curb crime

“I am at the point of calling in the State police or the National Guard with their machine guns to help patrol our streets if necessary to restore law and order,”
Funny how certain groups like the popo with machine guns when they feel unsafe.
On Wednesday, she officially requested state police help. Starting police pay in VP is 11 bucks an hour. Oh and less than a year ago, her and a few alderman received tens of thousands of dollars in illegal excess compensation.
Town is a shite hole!

So she wants State Police, paid for with my tax dollars, to patrol her town so she doesn’t have to use money in her budget to do that? Nope.
It’s bad enough they are doing it in New Orleans but at least you have the argument that NO promotes tourism which benefits the entire state economy. No such argument in VP.

Cries of racism to ensue if state doesn’t send national guard.

Why can't shithole communities stand on their own 2 feet?
Always got that hand out.

So you cut the police force budget and surprised there is an increase in crime?

We have simply GOT to begin to come up with more qualifications to run for office besides just able to breathe air, eat and poop.

I don’t think many of you realize just what a bad shite hole Ville Platte has become. There’s usually only one VPPD Officer patrolling at a time in a town of 10,000 because they don’t have enough money for more officers. They pay the police force like $10 an hour. Last week, 2 guys robbed the dominoes pizza delivery guy at gunpoint and stole his car. The ‘woods’ no shite looks like a third world country.
PCP, Meth, and other drugs are all over the streets. Criminals walk the streets day and night and you’re not really safe anywhere within the town limits. Go to Wal Mart past 8-9pm and good luck with the walk back to your vehicle. shite has gotten out of control.
Dumbass mayor ran on race politics and she got in. Problem is that the city is completely broke and has relied on federal money for years but generates very very very little tax dollars to fund itself. So many businesses have shut down. Rumor is that Cameron may decide to close up shop too and the town would be absolutely fooked if that happened.

Dont confuse the office with the person in the office.
Although there is an expectation that the job is done competently, you only get the quality of who applies and also and somewhat more importantly, the quality of who is elected.

Um... you ever heard of the Tee Cotton Bowl?
Yea. That’s what I thought.
That alone brings in tens of dollars every year for the state.

Mayor Vidrine is as qualified to be the CEO of Ville Platte as OweO is to teach the High Hurdles to track & field participants.

That's what the city residents want. And for the city not to cut off their utilities when they don't pay for 6 months...and they get it. It's sad
