I’m friends with a guy who used to be in the USSS doing security sweeps before a President makes an appearance, a Presidential candidate (and former POTUS) should have the same sweeps done.
Someone dropped the ball big time leaving that vantage point unprotected. Trump has his usual SS detail, but an appearance like this demands more manpower.
Dan Bongino has been saying that he’s being told for quite a while that requests for more security have been denied.

Question for anyone who can answer this. Do SS snipers get to practice often? It seems like a job you would need a lot of reps to do. If he misses his first shot Trump or other people could have been killed. There is no room for mistakes. They are bad arse.

3 shots from shooter. 4 shots total to take down shooter. The SS sniper scoping area resets and likely taking one shot and the prone SS sniper taking 3 shots back-to-back-to-back.
I can easily be wrong on this, but that's my initial take.

I don’t get why everyone is praising secret service. They did a terrible job by not securing the premier and a sniper was able to have a clear shot. Somebody has got to lose their job!

It wasn’t that long ago that Democratic politicians in Washington were calling for his protection to go away. These same politicians are quick to call for violence, especially over the last 5 years but the so-called media runs cover for them nonstop. Cities burned, people died, all while these same people cheered it on, but a pretend insurrection along with the media licking the arse crack of the same politicians let them say whatever they wanted, with no questions asked.

Take a close look at that sniper…not the audio. The prone sniper almost immediately recoils at the first shot and slides down the roof for the remainder of the video.
The kneeling sniper picks his head up, ducks at the first shot, then moves his tripod.
Both guys are moving as shots are going off. No trained sniper should be moving while firing. Their bodies should be completely still and if you were to see anything it would be movement and flash from their muzzles.
To me it looks as if the prone sniper is hiding from shots and the kneeling guy never gets a shot off. He clearly wasn’t on target at first because he had to move his gun/tripod

I was watching him too, over and over. It’s quick but his reaction is not only much more immediate but there’s much more movement involved. Almost like he’s falling over. Guys right next to him aren’t even reacting yet.

I guess from what I’m reading is that the roof looked secure for a time. Then the nutjob climbed up and to a partially obstructed side of the roof after the rally started and was in a blind spot.

I agree he looks like he got hit, but I believe the person killed was shot in the head. I would guess this guy was one of the critically injured as that looks like hit in abdomen. There is video of them doing CPR on a lady and she is up against a railing not at the top like that. Just sad all the way around. Hope white shirt guy survives

I agree. totally looks like they were slipping, especially kneeling guy, and the prone guy went to hiding almost, as he slipped.

Yepp, not sure why people are saying they got shots off. Even if they did they aren’t hitting shite when moving that much
