What is this cops name? Let's make this guy famous.
The cop is giving himself a much harder time than you could ever imagine giving to him. Just leave the guy alone and let the people involved handle it.

lol Fontana just said in an interview on KATC that there was a threat made to the school board (I assume today -- missed the beginning) and that the police and detectives and the FBI have been called. SBO was on lock down at some point today. Really???

Just reported on news that Marshall will continue to provide security for school board meeting.

This is the problem I have with the situation. Everyone around the situation just shut down once they got outside as if they were scared to do anything. I am not anti-police, but I think people should hold their ground and in this case, what the police was doing, it could have been done to anyone who lives there, who wants to bring up an issue questioning the dealings of local government.
As awesome as that sounds in theory in reality it would have turned out bad. Especially with some of these local wanna be billy bad arse part time cops.

Looks like the correct term here is "PANIC." They fricked up, they know it, and this thing is taking a life of its own. The only question is how much (or who) it's going to eat.

Also pointed out how vermilion parish teachers are some of the higher paid teachers in the state while the superintendent was one of the lowest.

Why? Because he knows he was wrong and he fricked up? He should publicly apologize to the woman.

He’s lying. If that really happened it would have been made public.

Exactly
He needs to also examine if he really wants to be a cop or not. This wasn't a aggressive or confrontational situation. This was a calm situation where this lady was 100% in the right. He had no right to give this woman orders in this situation. He let his ego get out of control when she didn't immediately bow down to his demands.

I'm sure he is. He got caught up in the moment and refused to swallow his ego and probably let his personal feelings get in the way. Having said that he went way overboard not only with the arrest but with his threats of continuing to arrest people.

This also made the NBC nightly news

That was my first thought. People who are threatened are victims. Victims get love and money. Forgiveness for past transgressions would surely follow. Yeah, let's make us the victims here.
But I changed my mind. This is a lie that would be easily verified.

Should have no problem producing the data to support that then. They sure were quick to show where the payraise put him.
ETA: Vermilion was 6th in the State rankings for the 2016-2017 school year, but an article in Alexandria in 2016 did not show Vermilion among the Top 10 in average teacher pay or starting pay.
If the Super is so concerned about his payraise because of improved performance, why aren't the teachers being paid to match their performance?

Or he's scared of Fontana if he really did direct the cop to remove the lady. Not talking right or wrong but Fontana is scary and I'm assuming "connected".

I agree with you. He messed up big time but I’m not sure he needs to be fired, because he was told to remove her. A lot of what happened wasn’t in the video; for all we know, she slipped in the hallway while being cuffed- I noticed a “wet floor” sign in the video. As I said earlier, maybe extra training is in order regarding the rights of citizens recording an arrest.
