A few years ago, my girlfriend and I went to a USWNT Soccer Game vs. some other country... I can't remember who they played. It took place in the Superdome, and it was one of the warm-up games for the world cup.

Anyway, when we got there, they only seated fans on one side of the lower section of the stadium which was pretty well filled up. I thought this was kinda crappy because the women are kinda hard to see from my 40th-row seats and that left a ton of really good seats unavailable on the other side and the goal lines.

Then I remembered it was also televised... Packing everyone into one side of the stadium made it look on tv that there was a full stadium.

it makes you realize that it would actually be more exciting to watch those freshman boys play another team of freshman boys.

Except I have no hook to get me interested in Gulfport High vs Biloxi High. The USWNT is representing the US on the world stage.

The NWSL and WUSA can't hold my attention for the same reason as a high school boys game can't - I have no connection to the teams involved. I would watch Carolina vs Washington because ... ?

The best way to ensure equality is to have the exact same wages and winnings for everyone. It’s time to just merge the separate leagues and all teams compete for the same trophy.

The only answer to this dude is the score of their scrimmage with the boys 16U team.

What do the women's team make compared to other national women's teams around the world? How much money is invested in women's sports in the US compared to other countries (including college scholarships)? How much money does women's soccer generate for the organization compared to the men's team?

What was collectively bargained by the women's team compared to the men's team?

It is completely insulting that Rapinoe will stand in front of congress and claim that she or any other female athlete is being discriminated against in athletics when the US has invested a ton more recourses into women's sports than pretty much every other country, thus making them more successful on the international stage, thus allowing them to make more money then their competition.

These investments into women's sports/success has largely resulted in the detriment to men's sports like gymnastics and wrestling.

I thought it was completely bullshite when watching the Olympics. The announcers were full SJWs by talking about how great female gymnastics and figure skating were compared to the male athletes. I was like of fricking course they are, they actually have recourses that allow them to be great. Instead of gratitude that your country values you as an athlete, you want to stand in front of congress and bitch and cry about equality? frick off.

Im assuming she doesn't understand the idea that people use sports as a way to make money. Woman's sport don't make as much money as men's sports. It's just a fact. There is no larger conspiracy happening here. It's just money.

The only Women’s sport I’ve ever watched was world Cup soccer and that’s more or less because of the national competitiveness of It And the fact that we have a really good Team. So basically I’ll possibly watch one woman’s sport every four years. You couldn’t pay me to watch and hour of Any other woman’s sport period. And for anyone to act like it’s somehow entertaining is flat out lying. Women’s sports are as a whole, atrocious.

Women's golf and tennis are ok when the players are attractive.

I'm fine with the men's team getting pay cuts, they've been real bad for years.

Don't think that's the outcome she is looking for though.

Rapinoe's dumb arse doesn't realize how lucky she is. Very few people actually give a shite about her or her sport. She lives in a time when wokeness is getting her commercials. If she lived 30 years ago, she'd be working a minimum wage job. frick her.

They have to do this at pretty much every one of their games. That's another reason why Rapinoe's little crusade is so disingenuous and laughable.

The team sees they play in front of near empty stadiums most of the time. They know they get almost zero media attention outside the WC or Olympics. Deep down they understand why they don't get paid as much as the men, so victimhood will pay better.
