Because they win. Reward em for that.

They are, but the women’s World Cup brings in a slight fraction of the revenue the men’s does. In fact they get a larger percentage cut then the men do

That is the same statement she just made.

I worked for TCU Women's Basketball for 3 seasons. Had to do all their home and most away games, as well as be there for practices.

The group of girls on those teams were skilled basketball players who looked good against air. They could make shots in shoot around, handle the ball really well, and all that.

Where women's athletes fall apart is when they have someone in their face, someone pressuring them, and not letting them go against air. It was funny to watch the practice squad, which consisted of average males in the student body that would not intimidate you if they were on the other team in a rec center pick up game. These guys had to "tone it down" when they went against these scholarship girls players.

Again, these girls were pretty good for women's basketball players. I watched one girl hit 40 three pointers in a row at practice once. But they couldn't hold their own against the average male in the student body. And then they'd go out and play a team like Britney Griner's Baylor and be losing 45-8 at halftime.

My cousin played D3 ball and their athletic dept. had a good relationship with Baylor's athletic department and got to scrimmage Baylor's women one time as a favor. My cousin said his D3 team had to play by a different set of rules - no pressing, no on ball man coverage, no transition offense, no dunks - and it was still a massive blowout.

Against air, these girls look pretty good. It's just when you aren't going against air is when the illusion falls apart

Who’s hosting this year’s Oppression Olympics? I expect the field to expand this year with the amount of people that identify as being oppressed skyrocketing. Should be a good one.

Once again....

They negotiated and demanded guaranteed base pay vs the men's pay for performance. Had they chosen the later they would have made more money.

If she wants to make the money the guys team makes she should try out for that team.

No they don’t. Look at the difference in FIFA prize payouts for the men’s and women’s World Cups. Now remember that the men also have numerous other major international tournaments bringing in revenue in non-World Cup years while women’s soccer fades into obscurity for 4 years until the next WC

I support women's sports, but this chick seems to want to force people to watch them, by law.

This is going to sound sexist as hell but...

You don’t see dogs competing with the horses. There’s a reason why there’s a Kentucky Derby and dog racing is regulated to local tracks.

They also give dogs away when they done with them. Not so much for horses.

Doesn’t mean the dogs lives aren’t valuable or their sport for what it is. It’s just not seen as the same value as horse racing.

Yep, just think they got smoked by a boys team that had to be driven to the game by their parents because they were too young to drive themselves.

She's just pissed because lesbian soccer is all she's got. Her "significant other", Sue Bird, says Megan can't even make a decent sammich during commercial breaks on TV.

"With the lack of proper investment, we don't know the real potential of women's sports," Rapinoe, the captain of the National Women's Soccer League's OL Reign, told lawmakers. Bull fricking shite. Our women’s soccer team’s success is directly tied to the investment the USA has made to women’s sports. She should be an ambassador to other countries to try to get them to implanted what the USA has done for her sport and her career.

Sinking millions and millions of dollars into women's sports to see pennies on the dollar return on investment is a dumb plan. It's like these women have no idea how commerce works.

the bottom line is the revenue.

but..... facts, statistics, and reality doesn't matter to this current WOKE agenda so all of that be damned right?

sure, the U.S. Women's soccer team drew some big numbers for a few years, but the rest of the world of women's soccer drew pennies and that's why you're not getting paid what the men's teams make. hell, even the bottom feeding men's soccer teams draw big money whereas the average women's team draws pennies.

it has absolutely nothing to do with male/female and everything to do with WHAT DRAWS MONEY... that's it. nothing more.

there are world class male athletes in swimming, wrestling, track and field, etc. ,etc. who are making pennies right along with the women ... why? because they don't draw a dime.
