Bull fricking shite. Our women’s soccer team’s success is directly tied to the investment the USA has made to women’s sports. She should be an ambassador to other countries to try to get them to implanted what the USA has done for her sport and her career.

Then the US will just be a middle of the road team.

You're starting to see it more and more in Europe. They are investing more and closing the gap to the US. In another 10-12 years they'll be lucky to get in the final 8.

the reason why the USWNT walks through the women's world cup is because most of the rest of the world doesn't give two shits about equality

Why can this not be the message? That the US is the only country that does support women’s sports. Tell a positive story, and get the publicity. I guess libs are just naturally miserable people.

Ah yes, really tackling the real issues our country faces today - whiny athletes complaining about their pay.

To the Left, there is no positive story. In order to tear down the establishment and wipe away our culture, they have to paint a picture that the US is evil.

We should all try out for her team. Some of us could make it.

I care nothing about women’s soccer ... but what the hell does beating a boys team have to do with this... her argument is invalid because of revenue in men vs. women sports... not because a woman can’t beat a man at a physical act

That ain't got shite to do with it. Well, the lack of talent has a lot to do with it, but the main reason is that no one gives a frick about women sports. Sure women care but most women would rather be trying to out slut the other women instead of dropping thousands of dollars to be fans of them. Men don't care for women sports like male sports because women are physically inferior to men, and casual men would rather watch sports with people who can do things that they cannot.

I think most men would rather watch high school basketball of teen boys than to watch some wNBA games where they just doing layups. Also there is this thing called supply and demand and the demand for women's sports isn't close to male sports like high school football, let alone the minor and professional leagues.

Because of this.

The reason men's sports generate more revenue is because they are, by far, more entertaining and interesting to watch. That's because the spectators know that they are witnessing that sport played at it's peak speed and intensity.

Most people may not even realize it, but the innate reason they don't care about women's sports (at least professionally) is because they know they're witnessing merely a shadow of the sport's potential thrill and excitement.

It's the same reason why droves of people show up for the varsity football game, but the stands are virtually empty for the local pop warner game.

So yeah, when the women's national soccer team can't even beat a bunch of HS freshman boys, it makes you realize that it would actually be more exciting to watch those freshman boys play another team of freshman boys. Extrapolate that out to collegiate and professional sports, and you will understand why the money flows where it flows.

But what's her position on Transgender biological males competing with her for the big dollars?

I wish someone in Congress would ask her that for the record.

Pay the WNBA and Women's Soccer equally and then just laugh when those sports end up folding due to bankruptcy.

Yeah. The women get a guaranteed pay that stretches out the whole year. Comes with full benefits.

The men are basically contract mercenaries. They make more the more they advance. And no benefits. They play a game, they get a paycheck.

The women negotiated their own contract. They should be bitching themselves out.

Also the NWSL, the league in which a lot of them were playing and currently play, is subsidized by the USSF

Alright let’s do this, give Rapinoe $50mm a year. Let her manage those funds and hire whoever she wants, build state of the art training facilities etc. Train for 10 years. Then have a match between ANY other men’s National team in the top 100 FIFA rankings. For every goal they score, they get another 5 years of funding. This will be over in 10 years and maybe they’ll shut the frick up. But probably not.

There’s is not one women’s National team that will come close to beating a men’s National team and it’s not because of lack of funding. I have watched a lot of soccer including women’s from all over the world and the women just are not going to be comparable to men. It’s night and day.

This is it right here. In modern day America, it pays to be the victim.
