My Amazon purchases are far more likely to be delivered two streets over.

I was expecting two amazon packages and had 3 at my door. One wasnt mine so i looked at it, didnt recognize the name or address and i had to looked it up on my phone to see it was a few streets over. I brought it to the correct address, but that package should have never ever been left at my front door.

And where I am it is usps that delivers amazon, we dont have the blue trucks out here, at least ive never seen one.

you got downvoted, but it is true. the Govt hamstrung the USPS years ago, and this is what we get. we went from the PO raking in billions in profit every year, to not even coming close to a profit since then.

If I order something and it’s going to be shipped usps, I will pay the fee to upgrade to ups or FedEx without a second thought.

A recent order of business cards. How does this happen? I realize that logistics make for seemingly illogical shipping routes, but this takes the cake.

It's maddening, isn't it?

I recently had something similar happen, I forget if it were USPS or UPS. Something made it to BR (delivery location), then went to another state. Was delivered nearly a week later.

Being able to track things has just revealed how bad it can be.
When UPS allowed realtime tracking, I would watch their truck come into my neighborhood, drive around (circling me, basically), then drive 15+ miles away, without attempting to deliver.
I was off and waiting for a shipment of ammo (close to a $500 purchase with signature required), saw the truck drive past my house, and they posted "unable to deliver", and wanted to leave it at a phone repair shop/"pickup location" a few miles away. I was on the phone to customer service within minutes.

I've had both UPS and Fedex leave at the wrong house, with photo as proof of delivery. On the Fedex one, it was dropped off at an abandoned house up for Sheriff's Auction, with all those posted notices on the house. My package was left literally beneath a notice , you could see them in the picture. Again, customer service and a complaint.

Currently, Amazon's own delivery system seems to be the best. It's one of the reasons I keep Prime.

Pretty much everyone who is not entry level or unimportant.

Sorry, you don't have business cards.

This happened to me at Christmas. Had a package shipped from Washington state two weeks before Christmas. It was in st rose to be delivered in 5 days. It was never delivered and inexplicably sent back to Montana. It made it back here a week later. No explanation or anything after multiple calls from both sender and myself.

Their reap some was basically, “it will be there when it’s there”

USPS in disarray

yep, my last package left new york and went to oklahoma

then it went to tennesse

then it went to missouri

then back to tennesse

then to mississippi

then it went to texas

before finally coming to louisiana

to say they are all high on drugs and clueless how to efficiently ship packages is a massive understatement

I've had that many times. Seems to be a texas thing. Everything from Ohio valley east usually goes through memphis.

It’s not just the USPS. I had a UPS package supposed to go to Ruston go from Louisville, to Memphis, to Jackson, to Memphis, to South Dakota, to Salt Lake City, to Memphis, to Jackson, then to Ruston.

And to insinuate you can’t meet face to face without a card is laughable. Are you a realtor?

I use business cards and get handed business cards every day. I don't give out as many as I used to, but they are convenient at times.

People ask me for business cards all the time, someone asked me for one about an hour ago as a matter of fact.

The last three companies I've worked for issued me business cards within my first week.

Meh, I receive them sometimes and often throw a couple in my stash box to move the weed around with.

People ask me too and I say hey let’s exchange texts and I’ll shoot you an email. Business cards are inconvenient and ridiculous but you do you

I have a business account with a PO Box. The mail carriers often don't deliver my mail to perfectly valid addresses, and it gets returned and I eat the cost of a stamp. And yet when I send it out a second time, it never bounces back. Mail carriers literally just say the address doesn't exist rather than double-back and deliver the mail. And that's just one problem.
