I'm retired and on the beach just about every day. It's pitiful the amount of fat arse kids waddling around out here. It's been over.

My sweet summer child. There will be tiers of healthcare. If you cheer this you are in the poors tier. Good luck.

They already rationed monoclonal antibodies during the 2021 wave of Covid.

My government very clearly doesn’t work for me. IMO they are already too involved.

We spend like 16.8% of GDP on healthcare.

That's not sustainable.

Socialized medicine or not, cuts are coming to healthcare.

Companies will always compete for employees with tax deferred compensation (benefits). This creates a healthcare market that will not be going away.

Apparently you are unaware of the very real effort to eliminate all non taxed benefits. They are starting with healthcare.

It's not just a talking point, it's a spoiler alert.

You don't have to like it. But you need to accept it.

I am as anti UBH as possible but I agree. It’s coming.

I’ve had some very bad experiences with billing departments and while I have no desire to see the government take over anything, hospital billing departments are complete and utter frauds.

I hold very few people in contempt more than politicians, personal injury lawyers, race hustlers and the IRS. But medical billing is Satan incarnate.

Doctors are no longer being taught to think. They are being taught to follow algorithms and protocols set by admins

Have you ever been to a VA or how about old Charity Hospital in New Orleans. That's what you can look forward to.

It’s pretty much already there, and it’s been that way for years.

Tiers are already in place. If I was a billionaire, I wouldn’t even go to the doctor. The doctor would come to me. And I would expect to pay more.

What’s the difference on saying a rich person needs to pay more for a kidney transplant than a poor person, at that point?

Completely agree. And it will be final nail in the coffin that is the USA. There would be no turning back from our assured destruction

I believe he's suggesting that there will be a larger crap tier that many avoid now by having private health insurance through their job. Without that they will end up in the lower tier.

very wrong. ability to work through differentials is still the cornerstone of medicine and is what sets docs as the professionals above midlevels.
although docs are being taught more algo's/proto than before its due to advances in information identifying and executing evidence based best practices of care. docs are more efficient and successful than ever due to algos and proto.

you are wrong because we are taught how to identify when the protos/algos dont add up for the specific case/scenario and the education background helps adjust to the circumstance.

but you have a very cute edgy stance probably from something on TV. but it seems highly divorced from an informed opinion

Concierge medicine practices now are mainly internal medicine or family practice guys. If it goes socialized, expect concierge groups to bring in the Dermatologist, GI doc, cardiologist, etc.

i graduated high school
i worked multiple internships
i graduated college
worked multiple jobs to afford it.
i got a salaried job at a good company for a career.
which comes with incredible medical and dental programs.
i stuck with it in the good times and the bad and many times when i could’ve gotten a salary bump elsewhere.

years of effort, paying my own way, and staying out of trouble. starting a family when i was mature and financially comfortable enough to do so. tell me, why the frick should some government leach have the health insurance i have?

should they also be able to afford the same neighborhood i live in? should they also have the same salary i have? should they also be able to afford the same lifestyle me and my family live?
