Christians used to be fed to the lions way back when. Can the govt start up a reparations fund for that?
Sure, send a bill to the Roman Empire, which definitely still exists, just like the federal government of the United States.

And how is paying some one based on race not a racist structure?
This was already done for the Japanese in this country in 1988

California wasn't even a state until 1850 and likely had very few black residents until after the Civil War.
Wasn't California also created as a "slave free" state?

The admission of Texas (1845) and the acquisition of the vast new Mexican Cession territories (1848), after the Mexican–American War, created further North-South conflict. Although the settled portion of Texas was an area rich in cotton plantations and dependent on slave labor, the territory acquired in the Mountain West did not seem hospitable to cotton or slavery.[9]
As part of the Compromise of 1850, California was admitted as a free state without a slave state pair; California's admission also meant there would be no slave state on the Pacific Ocean. To avoid creating a free state majority in the Senate, California agreed to send one pro-slavery and one anti-slavery senator to Congress.[10]

Do you really think the intellectually challenged will care?
All they will see is free money, that will be wasted...

Blacks as a race have already greatly benefited from being American citizens.
I've long thought this. Look at the state of black Americans today, what they have, and what they have access to, and then compare that with the state of the average citizen in the African countries they came from. Who is better off and who is worse off?

Uncle Brndon will have to give them the money because Cali is broke. They have no money, and beg the fed for money for each new social program they want to implement.

Do you really wonder why? What makes you special enough to deserve reparations? What have Whites already paid you for the short period of time slavery was allowed in America well before there were 50 states? Were you directly affected negatively by slavery? What about the Irish slaves? In fact the people brought here by the British in effect were all slaves. Why do you want something you neither deserve or earned?

Was the slave trade really big for the gold rush?
I thought the railroad labor was mostly done by Chinese when the laid the tracks out west?
How much cotton was grown in California in 1860 and how many slaves were there living in California?

This is definitely a unique strategy to increase your African American population. You will have poor people from all over the country moving to California for the promise of free money.

fricking drives me crazy when I see this...add in "fully funded", "paid for", etc. People just think, cool, free stuff!
Americans are so fricking stupid it hurts. I need the aliens to hurry it up and wipe this planet clean. Let evolution take another swing at the pinata.

They already get reparations. It's called EBT

I would say the Blacks here in America are far better off. The standard of living even for the homeless is far better than what it is in most African countries.

I thought reparations were supposed to be for damages caused from the time of slavery? California wasn't even a state at that time? WTF. Another reason why people will flee that garbage welfare state
Posted on 2/2/22 at 3:34 pm to LSUinMA
California isn’t the federal government and I think They were a free state too.

Wouldn't reparations be taking them back to Africa where they can run around half naked taking shits in thorn bushes so as not to get eaten by lions?
Ultimately isn't that the greatest thing that could have happened to them was being brought here?
