Territories change over time for a multitude of reasons.

Why do they only matter here?

So tired of the liberal hot takes.

I guess we should cancel all our traditions and just stare at each other.

"There wasn't an invitation extended to invite the Wampanoag to come and feast with them," she said. "It was really quite by accident, that there were any shared festivities at all." The pilgrims were celebrating their first harvest when they fired off muskets repeatedly, a form of entertainment for the settlers. Hearing the blasts, the Wampanoag thought it was a threat. The supreme leader Massasoit Ousamequin assembled a small army of approximately 90 warriors and approached the settlement, much to the surprise of the pilgrims.

So the pilgrims got a little drunk, fired a few innocent desk pops the Indians came to start a war for no reason and the pilgrims calmed things down and let them join the feast

What’s the problem here and how are the pilgrims the bad guys

Because of jealousy and willful ignorance.

They are pushing for and promoting White hatred.

Yep.

The Wampanoag heard a commotion, checked it out, and the Pilgrims said "Come on in and join us!"

In other words, they actually were invited.

But USA Today said they didn’t sent paper invitations so it doesn’t count.

bullshite. People who were there left journals. We know what they ate:

quote:

were exercised in fishing, about cod and bass and other fish, of which they took good store, of which every family had their portion. All the summer there was no want; and now began to come in store of fowl, as winter approached, of which this place did abound when they can be used (but afterward decreased by degrees). And besides waterfowl, there was a great store of wild turkeys, of which they took many, besides venison, etc.

That was written by William Bradford who was there.

It could be true that the Indians were attracted by gunfire, but we know that they were invited to eat.

Thanksgiving is about giving thanks to God, not the native Americans.

Incorporating more indigenous foods into Thanksgiving meals

Nice little shiny hook here. This is definitely a trap as it has been explained several times over the past decade that whenever you incorporate food from another culture that it’s cultural appropriation.
