Instead of gossiping, why don’t you look at the facts? I had 77 clients in state and federal in the amount of 3 years not 77 cases. what a weird comment to THIS post

i know Nola is a lot bigger than LC but your federal court isn't THAT huge. 77 is a major number, too. how did nobody figure this out?

with 14 judges, that's an average of 5.5 cases per judge

i also like how this is "gossip" when not only are there legit media investigations/reports, but also (1) court orders and (2) criminal indictments involved. now i don't know who each signal applies to, but there is certainly more than "gossip" going around.

and all i did was say 77 cases is a LOT and would create patterns that should have been easy to see

if that was the only clarification, i'm still not sure why the bump was necessary. and even then, instead of 5.5 cases/judge it will be something like 2, which is still insane. the same defense attorneys are also handling a lot of these cases

When are they going to investigate the collusion going on between certain doctors and PI attorneys ? Doctor provides services to client. Billing and scheduling are “provided” by a third party who inflate the costs by 250% in order to pump up the total medical incurred. Same services for doctor’s non accident patients costs 250% less.

Hopefully the PR on this, plus a new governor, will finally get tort reform passed in Louisiana. Our tort laws are ridiculous.

And we reelected the guy who is underwritten by the plaintiffs lawyer lobby

Yeah, 77 cases is quite a solid sample size

I always wonder why there are so many scummy lawyers. I see it all the time in non litigation fields too.

1. i think given the nature of the work, it's easier to see bad examples

2. people go into law thinking they'll make big money when that's typically not the case

3. running a law firm can be expensive, and the only way to typically make bank is to expand and increase costs even more

4. PI allows for arbitrage opportunities so it's the apex/golden goose

I can think of a couple of lawyers that I'd like to see taken out of business.
