US deploying forces to deter Iran

Nothing new to have a carrier strike group over there. Lincoln and Stennis were already deployed, one of them is just probably pulling into Bahrain.
As for the 11 carrier strike groups, not really. Half of the carriers are either in shipyard maintenance periods or training periods. I'm currently in the training period and still months out from deployment.
This is just another way for a news agency to beef up regular ship movements, nothing more

Well we do as a country have 11 Carrier Strike Groups, with one perma assigned to Japan.
I think we can spare 3, 1 to Iran and 2 to Venezuela. Although realistically they should send 2 and 1 respectively. Venezuela can barely contain its populace much less a fully loaded CSG.
