1.1 million people in the United States are living with HIV, and about 14% of those don't know they are infected. Of the U.S. population living with HIV, just over half are virally suppressed. There were 38,739 new HIV diagnoses in 2017.

6 times more likely to know someone with HIV/AIDS than Corona. Just perspective.

In 2019, roughly 1.8 million people will be diagnosed with cancer in the United States.

I sure wish the country and elected officials came together to conquer cancer like they have with Corona. Then I’d be on board for anything.

I know math is hard, but Corona is growing exponentially; HIV isn't. Why are you using static data?

Let’s put everyone in a bubble. If we can just save one life. I’m thinking of you, Aunt Betty, with your morbid obesity, asthma and poor addiction to cigarettes.

Sure, let's compare a disease that has been in the US for forty years to one that's been in the US for forty days using whole numbers.

Because that is "perspective".

Look, this sucks but even Trump said that models without any mitigation would cause 1 million US deaths and the hospitals would be overran.

This blows but it’s better than the alternative

You can’t catch cancer or AIDS simply by breathing the same air as an infected person. Is this really that hard to understand??

45 million a year? Seems a tad high... or you are.

What are you going to do if one of your close family members contract this virus? Bet it won’t be such a joke then. I’m sure you’re a “ MILLIONS die from the flu EVERY YEAR! “ proponent.

Know anyone that’s ever died from the flu? Or did they just stay at home for a few days? No one here has ever known someone to die from the regular flu. Ever. So what’s it say about those numbers?

Did the amount of people with HIV/Aids grow by a factor of more than 4000x from the beginning of the month to the end of the month while also being easily transmissible?
