Post some pics you bastard. It's just rainy as balls here.

Here's some "termination dust." Hasn't made it to the valley yet. 30 degrees when taken.

Sadly, we've had two sunny days all fall.

Damn dude chill out. It’s no different than taking the boat out in the rain.

Yes, it is different.

You don't get soaked by the snow.

No, not really. We have 4 bad months but the rest is pretty great, especially because it is rarely harshly cold. It’s been warm but the past month hasn’t been too bad

But I concede it all has to do with your tolerance for extreme cold, I’ll take the few months of miserable heat to not have to deal with horrible winters.

It feels like 84 at 8pm in mid October. I guess we have different weather preferences

Pretty rare for that lake. Usually gets wind coming off the ice field on clear days.

Hi! Have you ever been to Moochies? Their Jumpin' Jalapeno Sauce is delicious. Now...if could only find their secret recipe.

Yup, many times. Atomic meatball sub is awesome. Sorry though, I don't know the recipe.

I live in Huntsville, AL area and my parents make their flight south starting on Thursday and spend the weekend here. They have a smaller lake house in UP outside of Houghton, MI and are headed down to their larger winter home Wimberly, TX. I like when Mom tells me the high is mid 70's in July in the UP when it's humid and too hot here...

Daylight near Anchorage: today begins at 7:37 and ends at 5:56pm for 10 h and 19m of light.

Except it's cloudy so the evening dusk will happen faster.

It's not that long (less than a month) past the equinox and they've already lost an hour and three quarters of sunlight.

That's odd that Anchorage's daylight is so much shorter than hours.

First Light
8:15 am
Sunrise
8:57 am
Sunset
7:08 pm
Last Light
7:50 pm

Most of the snow yesterday afternoon ended up melting but we had about an inch of accumulation overnight. Heading uplake in about an hour and will post a few photos when back.

Before I got sick last year I was eyeballing a house in western Nebraska - they got their first snow this week.
