Me and my two boys all swabbed positive for Flu type A this month. We all caught the window for Tamiflu and all got over it pretty quick.

Read the test only has a sensitivity of 75% . So certainly could be false negative especially depending on how the swab was taken. Oropharyngeal swabs not as sensitive and nasopharyngeal swabs while more sensitive are prone to error in getting a good swab.
My wife's aunt and uncle on the original princess ship, both were symptomatic with flu like symptoms. Aunt tested positive but the Uncle was negative. I have a hard time believing he truly was negative.

They took my neighbor two doors down (late 60’s male) away in an ambulance this morning with severe respiratory complications.

There is also the possibility that she had it but was asymptomatic and done with it when the test was administered. That is why they are working on antibody tests to see if people have an immunity from having had it but not being diagnosed.

Obviously you could be completely full of it. But this rt here is what's been bothering me. People are getting thrown into numbers with out actually getting confirmed results.
In the end we will never really know how much this worked or didn't unless you test every one. Plus, people are still going about their business. Not everyone has been isolated for 2 weeks. Even the people screaming to stay home have been somewhere with 10+ people. If they say they haven't, they are lying.

I was noticing that on Dallas County's website. It was B most of flu season which i got, and then A popped up more recently. Is A strain in flu shot close to A strain people are getting this year?

My mom noticed him constantly clearing his throat during a conversation she had with him over the phone. The next day he was "feeling" sick with a low-grade fever. Nothing too extraordinary other than low fever, body aches, drowsiness, and lack of appetite.

That's what we are hoping. Honestly, I kind of hope that I got it, too. I spent all of last Sunday and Monday with them. I have had no symptoms but It would be nice to have caught it and just be asymptomatic. It would help with our immunity and make this 14-day quarantine actually worth it.

I thought about leaving that out haha. I was hoping to give as clear and accurate a description of what is going on from a first-hand account so people counterbalance all the craziness going on. Good catch though

My 96 yr old grandmother died about two weeks before corona really kicked off here. I’ve just recently been thinking how fortunate we were to have had that happen when it did. we were still able to have a proper service, and friends and family were able to come that wouldn’t have been able to under the new guidelines. Not to mention that my grandma was still able to have visitors until the end.
I feel for the families that have people in nursing homes & hospitals, and aren’t able to visit.
