If so, you could be right, what are the chances the parents get charged with something?

They have to know something.

Is there anything within the law to make them talk?

Can the police just pick them up on a traffic violation and hold them and question them and force them to lawyer up?

How is it possible this guy is still in the wind? Are they actually looking for him?

The parents know he is alive or else they would be helping the police find him if they thought he was dead or suicidal.

First of all, if he wanted to kill himself in a way that would not be detected, he probably wouldn't tell anyone. That way, his parents can imagine that he's still alive somewhere, as his death would never be confirmed. Second, people kill themselves out of the blue all the time. They don't always give off warning signs. If he intended to kill himself, I doubt he'd tell his parent about it.

He knows/knew that his only options were a life in prison or a short career as a fugitive - followed by a life in prison. Suicide is definitely on the short list of actions for him.

I guess it’s plausible that he’s dead but it’s very unlikely. Why hide your own dead body? Just to troll the authorities or Gabby’s family?

And even if he did off himself while chest deep in a swamp he would still need to get a little lucky to not be found.

When you really look at the odds and the percentages after some critical thought, it’s extremely unlikely he’s dead.

Dog is waiting to put the cuffs on Brian until the final edit is done on the first six episodes of his new show. Gotta have that mid-season break cliffhanger.

I feel it is the opposite, it is pretty unlikely that someone like him would be able to evade an entire nation who knows who he is for this long.

Its pretty easy for a body to be lost in a swamp for awhile and eaten by all manner of critters.

The only way he is alive is if he has someone he REALLY trusts and he is holed up in their house without leaving at all. Otherwise someone would turn him in.

parents are acting too weird. No emotion whatsoever to the situation, even if they don't know..and even if the situation is how you describe, normal concerned parents would voice something

I don't think it would be that hard to blend in somewhere if he has a hat and wears a mask. He'd have to have a decent amount of cash though.

I still think he's on the Florida Trail somewhere. Its like 3000 miles long from Miami to Pensacola. Its also not very well known, as in someone from out of state in the FBI may not even consider it. I've walked parts of it and outside of metro areas it runs next to you may not see anybody all day long. Camp away from people. Would be extremely easy to see someone coming and walk off into the woods to do something like take a leak or otherwise not act suspicious at all. See someone and put a mask on with glasses and a hat and no one would recognize you at all.

As far as suicide, you rarely if ever hear about committing suicide in hidden places. Its almost always in the comfort of something known: house, car, work, etc. I don't see any reason for that to be different here.

Now he could have died on accident certainly especially trying to evade police.

But again, my guess is if the parents thought he was dead they'd help the authorities. I'd bet they have burners of some sort or emails and are checking in occasionally. Wouldn't be hard to send an email to his sister on 2 burner accounts she only checks somewhere public.

Not hiking he wouldn't. $2000 buys a ton of rice, ramen, and PBJ's. You could live for months on just $1000 if you were hiking a trail.

Well yea, absolutely. I'm not saying they will actually have closure. I was just saying for them to say that publicly and maybe he would get comfortable and make mistakes if he is actually alive

It's not the parents he has to worry about. It's the authorities.

So is the line of thinking... "well if he's here, he more than likely has to be dead by now"?

If evidence of remains were found, then i'm not sure why the dogs are needed then. It seems like they still have nothing still.

You would think they would be pleading for him to turn himself in..."Please Brain, Please turn yourself in or at least know you are alive"

something like that maybe

If it were my kid and I wasnt trying to hide him Id be like

"Son, get your arse home right fricking now or turn yourself in and let the families know what happened......have some integrity"

But instead his parents are as big of fricking cowards as he is....they should all burn in hell if they know what the real story is

I haven't seen this tidbit posted yet.

quote:

Brian Laundrie's sister's family targeted with violent threats

Brian Laundrie's brother-in-law asked Manatee County deputies for increased patrols in his neighborhood in mid-September after he said his family received alarming threats amid an ongoing manhunt for the Florida fugitive, according to sheriff's records.

Laundrie's whereabouts have been unknown for more than a month following the slaying of his fiancée, Gabby Petito, who was strangled in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest, according to authorities. Laundrie is a person of interest in her death and is the subject of a federal warrant for alleged debit card fraud.

James Luycx, the husband of Cassie Laundrie, told Manatee deputies on Sept. 19 that strangers were sending threats to his family. He asked the responding officer for information about patrols in the area and for security advice.

I get being angry at the parents, but threatening violence? What does that serve? Plus, at least the sister has spoken out. Why threaten them?
