Update - My brother is no longer missing. My mom and aunt are with him at the hotel.

We believe he is in Louisiana.
No one has heard from him since Friday and someone who wasn't him sold his phone to a female New Orleans resident.
My mother has been in contact with her and she claims to know nothing other than buying his phone yesterday, along with some other stuff, from a person who does not fit my brother's description.
He was last seen on my mother's Ring doorbell camera in Canton, MS, on Friday leaving with his brown and white Boston terrier.
His car is a 2009 white Nissan Maxoma with front end damage and Mississippi plates.
We have put out a BOLO with both Mississippi and Louisiana police departments. We have contacted multiple jails in both states to see if he has been arrested and nothing.
Yes, he is a drug addict who has a criminal record.
Sadly the only photo I can find of him is an old mugshot from 2013. We aren't very close, but my mother is freaking out.
I know the OT has performed several miracles in the past so I figured I would ask for help here.
ETA: Took his photo down since he has been located.
His license plate number is MAI 7895.

Huge update.
My mother was able to obtain his bank information.
He has two charges to hotels in New Orleans. The first was to a Marriott and the second to the Intercontinental.
We've contacted the Intercontinental and they confirmed he checked in with the dog but they won't say when. They called his room but no one answered. They said they would conduct a wellness check but we haven't heard anything yet.

Hotel staff did the wellness check.

The woman conducting the check says she passed a man fitting my brother's description walking down the hall, but she didn't think to stop him.
Room is apparently clean. My mother is asking them to go look for his car.

Happy ending in this situation or at least he's alive, depending on your view.
My mom and aunt made it to New Orleans and retrieved his phone. They went to the hotel and have made contact with him face to face.
That's all the information I have as of now.
Thank you everyone who took time out of their lives to help track him down. Our family truly appreciates it.
I will post a more detailed account of just what the hell he has been doing over the last 3 days when I can.
