In America child protective services doesn’t try to take kids away. They will as a last resort but they would prefer to try and educate and fix the parents rather than take away their kids. I believe this is bullshite. These are grown arse people that decided to pork each other with no care of the consequences and then not give a single frick about the human they just created. Some of them do it just for the government assistance that having a child gives them. I believe we should take away kids on a much higher basis and also if you have 2 or more kids that are in unhealthy living situations you should be forced to get your tubes tied/vasectomy or face criminal charges. The problem with America’s youth is way less about our school system and more about how we allow the dregs of society to breed like rabbits then not care about their children, only to have the kids grow up the same way and continue the cycle/ rant over.
Have you seen the foster care system? There are some good people who care, but a lot of them are just in it for the money.

I agree with you to a degree but the alternative in most cases is not a better situation for the children. A lot of foster parents take in children for the financial benefits, not solely to create a better environment for them. It’s unfortunate that children are born into this world and already have the odds stacked against them but this is the world our government has created

If anything child services should investigate much harder than they do for kids safety

You want someone like Bernie deciding if you keep your kids someday?
You understand how dangerous that path is...right? Shouldn't have to explain why the government should not have that much power.

Really?? That is going to fix the problem of the government rewarding bad behavior??
No it would HELP fix the problem of homes with parents unfit to raise children.

And bottom line is if it can survive outside the womb, it has personal property rights
There are quite few off-ramps btw planned parenthood and “survive outside the womb”

A lot of people say this, but it’s readily available. Birth control is free
Readily available but companies like Hobby Lobby don’t want to cover birth control so not as available as needed maybe?
Also available is only 1/2 of what I said. Destigmatization is an equal part of the equation.

So you advocate making re foster care?
You're losing either way.
You're losing either way.

Having said that, our government is basically paying poor ignorant people to have children when they should be providing incentives for them to not have children.
What we do is the exact opposite of survival of the fittest.

understand it is a slippery slope, but what other option is there?
We have class of people who have absolutely no plans on ever being a positive contributor to society, and they make their money via having as many children as possible. These children then grow up to be like their parents. It is growing exponentially. It is already at the point that we can’t pay for it. Instead of our taxes paying for infrastructure and things we actually need, we have a massive government entitlement programs. How do you solve this? How?
If the government takes this initiative, I’m going to campaign that only people that vote for it should be subject to it cause I don’t think you are fit to raise a kid.
Or is it just fun to think about when you assume it’s happening to those other people?

It should be harder to get kids back if you have them taken away, and we need to remove the incentive to have kids and get govt funding for it.

They don’t “raise” their kids anyways. They make them, and that’s about it.

Catholics say hi.
And any other sect, like TD protestants, who oppose abortion.
If it wasnt stigmatized abortion would address your issue.
It could be free. Made easeful instead of having to watch propaganda before you get to.

People should have to get a license to have a kid. They should have to prove that they can financially support the child to adulthood and that they have the emotional stability to raise it
Without license you can’t bust a nut in a chicks vag?
How are you going to enforce that?
We have trouble enforcing easier things than that.
Exactly, a stupid as frick comment. As great as it sounds, how the frick are you going to get people to stop fricking....

You can get condoms and female contraceptives on amazon discretely. You can go into a Walmart, grab a box and do self checkout and no one bats an eye.
I don’t think stigma is keeping people from taking preventative measures. Some people just suck at mapping current actions onto future consequences and that will always be the case.

We should rely more on churches for support for such services.
Correct. Let faith based organizations provide the welfare needed by those truly in need, and it will weed out those who are receiving benefits without qualifying reasons.

Except they rarely run smoothly to begin with

Once the Catholics say hi, I’d like to ask them if they support abortion. I’d also like to ask them how they feel about contraceptives in general. I’m not throwing shade at Catholics, but you specifically

So they can end up in the hands of the Jerry Sandusky's of the world?
Posted on 2/8/20 at 5:01 pm to PrivatePublic
This. I know someone with a kid (the dad's in jail and has 3 other kids) who just got $6800 back in EITC. Now she's pregnant again by another guy who also has 3 other kids. What's her incentive to stop having kids? She's getting free health insurance, groceries, formula, and even more cash back next year.
