Sounds like you already know the answer but maybe are having trouble accepting that it’s the correct answer (IMO)
When you’re older, and don’t watch your bank account balance like you used to when you’re younger, you will want the memories you could have had with kids/family more than the maybe missed $$$. Can’t buy time…

If the truck is parked and not actually used, you will have constant problems out of it when you intend your son to use it.
Speaking from experience….
You need to drive the old truck a couple of days a week if you intend to try and keep it long term for your son.
So the dilemma, providing you are willing to try this is where to keep it, is how to do this. Depending on what your line of work is, you can park it at work and drive the new truck to work and drive the old one home, and back the next morning….doing the once a week, maybe twice every few weeks. Just my 0.02!
Zyrtec gives me nightmares. Try to stay with Claritin or Allegra, but sometimes it’s necessary to double dip because of an allergic reaction.
Took Zyrtec today. I am going to be taking it for the next few days. I’m automatically assuming nightmares are incoming.
Side note……my kids reacted the same way when they were younger. Haven’t given them Zyrtec since.
Send the Tartan Army to Louisiana. WE won’t run out.

Let’s talk about the people with big trucks NOT pulling anything that drive all over the world with their mirrors extended. Mirrors that hit mailboxes, mirrors of oncoming vehicles, etc. because they extend outside their dang lane! One of the most inconsiderate things I see on the road.
The Methodist split several years ago. Look at how many southern Methodist churches don’t have “United” in their names anymore.

Those items are important, not in value but in memories. Good for you !

re: Putting my dog down tomorrow

My heart hurts reading this because I know some day I’ll be in your shoes. I’m on my first dog as an adult and I’m almost 50. I had to wait a long time for the right circumstances to responsibly own a dog. She lights our world up every day, and I will be broken when it’s her time. I don’t have advice but you will be on my mind and in my prayers tomorrow, and the days following. How truly blessed are we to have the boundless love of our dogs? It’s humbling. Truly…..prayers
We have a “rescue” English Bulldog. She loves us, and loves isn’t a strong enough word. She mourns even the shortest spans of time apart, and is always up for any adventure while 30 seconds earlier she had the most rhythmic hypnotic snores from whatever piece of furniture she’s on, all the while actively monitoring Amazon deliveries, the fridge opening, or the slightest new food smell in the air without any audible packaging sound occurring…..so she has excellent super-powers.
And has us all wrapped around her paw
My go to formula for traveling to an unknown city (if I can’t get better info) is to try to pick a hotel well ranked close to a Chick-fil-A.
I don’t need this formula to become questionable.
A few
Mom and grandmother are the ones I just can’t bear to deal with.
Folks, make sure you speak from the heart while your people are still here to cherish….cause you will always feel there was more you could have said.
I wanted an English bulldog my whole life. I’m 49. Got one 3 years ago. Might have to bury me when we have to bury her…
This girl rules the house and that’s fine by me!
The ice is so deep right at that main intersection, vehicles are getting high centered. My son (in his 4WD heavy truck) pulled multiple people out yesterday right around Keystone/ Hwy 134 and that intersection. He finally just had to stop because it would have been never ending. Entergy had a line of trucks trying to go north on 165 a mile or two south of that intersection and they were at a standstill because of vehicles stuck and being in the way.
Nightmare
Preparedness and lack of nosiness would help. Sometimes you just have to let people learn the hard way.

Son didn’t get his name on the back of his (which is a huge add on) like so many because we filled that back up with patches also. 2 sport athlete with multiple state championships. He never put it on but the mission was to make sure it was done right and was a record of accomplishments.
Follow thru with all the applicable patches.
Update for those interested:
I have reached out to a company in Lecompte to take the bracelet and incorporate leather to make him a keychain, and they are going to make it happen. I’m very thankful.
Thanks for all the helpful suggestions and sentiments!
You certainly have a good point. All things to ponder. If I get it incorporated into something for him, it will be a while before we gift that item to him.
The links are shaped like the first picture posted in 2 tone.

Thank you to all who are thinking, have replied, will reply, or have just read and sympathized. It’s been a tough time.
Yes but she bought the silver tone one for herself. It was the only present he didn’t know about and it tore him up when we opened it because he said she always went cheap on herself and wouldn’t listen to him.
Thank you for the advice. We already have this kind of thing in the works.
