Yes. It's a loose acronym. WILMA is much more catchy than WIMA or WMA.

I assume the pricing will be adjusted to account for overhead space. This will also sell the middle seats faster.

Probably. That was the premise behind basic economy and economy. Basic is the cheapest and no carry-on allowance. Just a personal item. Which probably turns into a full-blown duffle bag for some.

Probably but If I'm on a flight that is longer than an hour, the middle seat sucks sooooo much

I’m of a different opinion on first class boarding first. Since it’s separate from economy you don’t share overhead bin space.

If I pay for first class I’d rather board last so I can take my time in the terminal knowing I have an extra 30 minutes to use bathroom, eat, etc. frick boarding first and sitting on the plane an extra 30 min while all the disgusting lard asses shuffle their fat arse inches away from your face

This. Last on, first off.
I would actually pay more for that option.

Charge for carry-ons and make checked bags free. That would reduce boarding and deboarding.

Never understood why this wasn't there norm.

I don’t care about the $40, when I land I want to leave and not worry if my bags will make it there

Or stand around at baggage claim for a half hour. I don't even mind the gate check if they have it at the top of the jetway in 5 mins, which they normally do.

Not really a problem as long as first class still boards first. I like having my preflight cocktail while everyone is boarding.

The problem is overhead bins.

Aisle seats get absolutely fricked.

The solution is flight attendants need to be pro-active and not allow people to take up overhead space when something could easily fit under the seat in front of them.

I’ve got UA MSY-ORD RT next week, will report back if applicable.

I’m in First Class*, for the record.

Rare that you see an airline make a move that makes sense.
