El Chapo can and could easily do it. He gives no fricks. He'd welcome an American response. It would legitimize him as a force.
The us military could and would destroy them with the quickness if he were to do something as stupid as assassinate a us presidential candidate.

Hypothetically I wonder what they'd have to do to retire.
I don't think it is a business you can just retire from... Everyone would want you dead, So the only logical way to retire is fake your death, change our identity and go somewhere else.
These dudes are fricking hard criminals though. I don't think they would want to retire. This isn't an office job after all. You would have blood on your hands.

Chapo can send in some assassin to take him out, rifle shot from far away. Dude doesn't even have to sacrifice himself.
He'd also completely legitimize everything Trump's been saying about the border and criminals.

So El Dorito sends illegals over the boarder and either assassinates or tries to assassinate a potential US presidential candidate, this causing america to actually crack down on the boarder and drug smuggling. Seems like a great idea

quote:Why? This Chapo dude is a pussy. Not saying he isn't smart, successful, or a scary guy, but he wants NO part of a pissed off US government. He'll talk his shite and keep picking on whoever it is in Mexico that he picks on. He isn't ready for the big leagues. Thus, Trump is fine.
he should really reconsider just how violent of a person he's picked a fight with. i see unpleasantness in trump's future for him or someone close to him.

he'd do far worse damage by raping/torturing/killing someone close to trump. with the amount of global traveling trump's family does, they would be easy marks.
far worse for trump to have to get up each day & face the realizing he caused that.

Nah, we'd send a Seal Team Six style unit in there to root him out. No way we send a mass of ground forces into Mexico to become targets.

Last time I checked Seal teams were considered US Military.

Oh shite, now all trump has to do is get someone to shoot him in the leg or arm while he is on the campaign trail and he is in like Flynn
Posted on 7/13/15 at 3:23 pm to lsupride87
In trumps position, I would pay a contract mercenary sniper to take out the Mexican guy.
Trump is also worth a crap load of money

LOL no. There is a reason the cartels are extremely calculating in handling business in the United States. They have a paradise of lawlessness and corruption adjacent to the world's lone superpower. They're not fricking that up willingly.

Sure, just you made it sound like we'd invade or something. If we did it, it would have to be very quiet.

you sure about that?

The Sinaloa Cartel began to contest the Gulf Cartel's domination of the coveted southwest Texas corridor following the arrest of Gulf Cartel leader Osiel Cárdenas in March 2003. The "Federation" was the result of a 2006 accord between several groups located in the Pacific state of Sinaloa. The cartel was led by Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, who was Mexico's most-wanted drug trafficker with an estimated net worth of US$1 billion made him the 1140th richest man in the world and the 55th most powerful, according to his Forbes magazine profile.[124] In February 2010, new alliances were formed against Los Zetas and Beltrán-Leyva Cartel.[118]
The Sinaloa Cartel fought the Juárez Cartel in a long and bloody battle for control over drug trafficking routes in and around the northern city of Ciudad Juárez. The battle eventually resulted in defeat for the Juarez Cartel but not before taking the lives of between 5-12,000 people in drug related violence.[125] During the war for the turf in Ciudad Juarez the Sinaloa Cartel used several gangs (e.g. Los Mexicles, the Artistas Asesinos and Gente Nueva) to attack the Juárez Cartel.[125] The Juárez Cartel similarly used gangs such as La Línea and the Barrio Azteca to fight the Sinaloa Cartel.[125]
As of May 2010, numerous reports by Mexican and US media claimed that Sinaloa had infiltrated the Mexican federal government and military, and colluded with it to destroy the other cartels.[126][127] The Colima, Sonora and Milenio Cartels are now branches of the Sinaloa Cartel.[128]

Yeah, a dude who amasses billions selling drugs and murdering all rivals is really concerned about how people view immigrants.
Just move all the drones from Afghan/Pakistan to Arizona, and get cracking on resolving this problem.

Uh....so is El Chapo. A billionaire with a private army.
Yep. El Chapo employs trained killers, as in, that's actually their job description. I highly doubt he'd try it due to the heat he would bring down but if El Chapo really wanted it done- it would take more than a few ex-SF guys to protect him.

Yes we are sure one billion dollar organization is not ready to take on the U.S. government

I agree with your point but I'm sure he has more than a few American citizens on his payroll.
