I'm not even doubting that he couldn't pull off killing Trump,

No one with a brain thinks he couldn't get Trump if he wanted. If he did, it would be the end of his cartel. I could actually see a rival cartel framing him for it now.

If this shite did play out it would be Donald Trump VS. Mexico, that's how much power El Chapo has.
You don't think our government would make sure he payed for that? Hell, Obama would HAVE to go all out to get him for political reasons alone.

because he's so afraid of the consequences right?

he might end up in a maximum security cell in mexcio..that would be really unpleasant.

Yes. He would end up dead. So yes. He is afraid of the consequences and he won't do anything.

I am pretty sure he has surpassed Escobar in wealth, and power at this point.

Escobar had 10X more money than Chapo has ever thought about not even including the inflation. Up until recently, all the mexicans were doing was moving dope. They recently started manufacturing meth and herion but nothing like what Escobar was doing in the 70's and 80's with coke.

Tens of billions is a massive amount of money. I havent read anyone speculating more than several billion. Dumb to argue how much a drug dealer has, but Pablo Escobar had almost as much money as Apple does right now. No way this douche has tens of billions. I just don't buy it.

just like the last 2 times he was caught?

i guess the authorities are waiting for him to do something worthy of being killed for right? like maybe being responsible for thousands of murders.

We weren't the ones catching him the last two times either so there's that.

I never said that there would be no retaliation from America, what I said was Trump would have half of Mexico on his arse. This would probably happen before we even realize.

You're right, but he is more powerful than Escobar was.

We provided Intel but no personnel. He was captured by his government.

I think we feel the power more because he is in Mexico not Columbia and the fact that he has killed SOOOOO many people. Escobar would have been worth north of $50B in today's dollars and rigged elections, murdered politicians and killed thousands himself. If money is power, Escobar was right there with Chapo.

ETA:

quote:

After the assassination of Luis Carlos Galán, a presidential candidate, the administration of César Gaviria moved against Escobar and the drug cartels. Eventually, the government negotiated with Escobar, convincing him to surrender and cease all criminal activity in exchange for a reduced sentence and preferential treatment during his captivity.

Hell, Escobar killed a presidential canidate in his own country and ended up hanging out in his compound doing whatever he wanted. That is pretty stong imo.

precisely my point
quote:

"The DEA in Mexico", told EFE that the US presented a simple plan for Guzman's capture to the administration of former President Felipe Calderon. The plan involved specially trained US troops entering the zone where Guzman was hiding, supported by remotely controlled planes with missiles. According to the agent, the operation would have taken only 10 to 15 minutes, but was halted by the Mexican navy and army because they were not included in the plan.

i'm sure the mesican government wont shut us down the next time eh?

they just use us for the intel and equipment.

No doubt, and he did do all of those things while he was alive, but in Columbia.

I agree with you that Escobar was comparable.
