UFC event on the White House lawn tonight

I can't imagine anything more "bro culture" that this. Is this really what the White House territory should be about?
You couldn't do this event at the arena where the Capitals or Wizards play? It's like four or five blocks down the street if I recall. I mean it's right there.

Yes, agreed. But that doesn’t negate the uncouth and boorish behavior. There should be some decorum in such a special place.
Also, capitol refers to a building and capital refers a city.

Theodore Roosevelt ran an underground combat sports operation at the White House, frequently hosting boxing, wrestling, and judo/jiu-jitsu sessions in the basement and East Room. He regularly boxed and wrestled in the White House gym until a sparring partner hit him hard enough to permanently damage his left eye. He then took up jiu-jitsu for a couple of years after that.
The Founding Fathers wrestled, dueled, boxed bare-knuckle. George Washington was undefeated as a wrestler.
They all would have loved this event.
For one night only, we're going to host an important reminder that America was founded by fighters and warriors proud of the combat sports tradition.
