It has to suck to be a cop. You're expected to perform your job with 100% accuracy, without a shred of opportunity for a lawsuit, and on a case-by-case basis, even though you've already had run-ins with this person several times

Why didn’t at least one of the cops pull in front of her and back up to her front bumper then the cop behind her her pull up as far as he could to her rear bumper. Problem solved (at least for running).

One of my favorite stories.. dude in N.O. kills a cop.. I think late 80’s, early 90’s.. Archie something kinda rings a bell. Anyway, the entire NOPD is hunting this guy and they find him hiding under a car. They beat his arse to death. The official story was “he died from injuries sustained while resisting”. Every story should have a happy ending like that.
