It was super necessary.

I’ll add this to the choke hold convo.

Most guys know to keep your chin down and fight the hands to keep the rear naked from getting in.

However, most don’t know that once it’s in you throw your chin up and push the elbow back over your head. People who continue to keep the chin down after it’s under the chin go to sleep

I've never seen the "which one do you want" line used IRL. That's some John Wayne shite.

First that throws a punch usually wins. That guy in the white knew what he was doing.

This is what happens when you go to a bar in Norman dressed like Steve Jobs at a dude ranch

That's where he could face some serious legal trouble though.

Little dudes will be writing checks to them for a long time, or in bankruptcy.

chokeholds aren’t always done correctly though

Especially on the floor of a bar bathroom. I got into BJJ about 13 years ago but I have never had a situation come up where I have needed it outside of training unlike my boxing background that actually has come in handy in a few bar fights when I was in college. Our brand of jits really focuses on street survival first and foremost like that rear naked that the guy went for. There is several ways to make an opponent massively uncomfortable to give up his chin that you would never do to a training partner in class trying to get the same submission.

I'd take the bloody nose and a hit to my pride before rolling around on that bathroom floor.

A broken nose isn't so bad. A broken orbital bone or broken jaw on the other hand.....might be worth a fierce first strike with subsequent rolling around to avoid those possibilities.

I once picked a fight with a person with training. It did not go well for me and I got what I deserved.
My son is in kickboxing MMA type training three days a week. His physique has taken on quite a change as well as his self confidence to be able to wreck someone's shite if they frick with him.
