Yeah cause everyone asks for a mud check before they ever get in a bar fight.

After seeing what that bathroom floor looked like, would it be fair to call it a Piss Check?

what ever happen to the good old days when you just duked it out and went home?
before we trained monkeys to roll around on the floor and beat our asses.

I have no opinion on this fight. But goddamn I am glad they didn’t have mma in the 80s and 90s. I can’t imagine the frustration of having one of those bastards choking me out and punching me in the face at the same time. We had just good ol fall on the ground together fighting

Problem is, Spencer didn’t do anything in that video. Period. Little dude decides to go Billy Jack bad arse and instigate a fight. He could have walked away at the beginning of that video and notified authorities if he was battered by Spencer. As for the money aspect, you don’t think a traumatic injury like that is worth money? Surgery, permanent Eye injury, lost wages and future income and pro career money etc.... It adds up quickly .

Do you know who is who in that video?

Here is all the video shows:

Spencer's bro saying "look at ME". He clearly wants to fight.

Spencer jawing, but not touching anyone. His attorney's description of him "de-escalating" is absurd.

MMA baw bleeding - but we have NO IDEA what happened before. And the wording of his reference to this on the gofundme is sort of sketchy, so I'm not willing to just give him the easy win that he was in the right to begin with.

Spencer's bro pushes MMA baw (I would argue without provocation, further supporting the claim that he was looking to fight)

MMA baw goes ham on Spencer - and evidently seriously injures him. And he continues going ham way past the point when Spencer has (actively or passively) surrendered

Purely legally, I don't see how MMA baw isn't at least somewhat opened up to charges/damages.

I'm not saying who did or did not deserve what because we don't know what happened prior to the video, although I am a lean to thinking the baw was stupid for continuing as long as he did - particularly since he doesn't even seem to able to argue that his blood was up. If anything, he's been lauded for being such a calm pro.

From the GoFundMe:

YESTERDAY
by Walker Brown, Organizer
Comment from Walker's attorney Steve Stice:

"My client would first like to state how much he appreciates the overwhelming support he has received from friends, family, and complete strangers as he deals with the aftermath of the events of February 13, 2021. As always, there is more to the story than what is depicted in the video. What is not shown is the original assault and battery suffered by Mr. Brown at the hands of Mr. Jones and his friend shortly before the captured footage. As can be seen, my client's nose and clothing were bloodied prior to the beginning of the video. Mr. Brown was legally justified in defending himself in this matter. As a result, Mr. Brown received several injuries including a torn bicep which will require surgery. We will not make any further comment until the conclusion of the investigation by the authorities.

It's hard for me to believe the magnitude of Spencer's potential liability is anywhere near MMA baw.

Why? If Spencer "started it," you think his culpability is lessened just because he was a bitch who couldn't back up his tough guy act?

Also, by the point anyone went down, you usually had others who would be more interested in trying to separate the two than they were in trying to be Howard Cosell in Ali v Frazier with their own camera. Because, of course, nobody had their own video camera handy.

But he DIDN'T start the altercation seen in the video.
