Fine work on the post.*

*I dig your schtick but the over reliance on the religious talk is a bit much. Stick to Mother and the other stuff.

I looked at the Georgia house again on a laptap so its bigger. So some of yall want a house to burn down because it shows Democrat support?

New Orleans has received a ton of positive publicity on this nationally. Will be good exposure to hopefully help spur leisure travel later this year

Thanks for sharing! I love the pageantry of Mardi Gras more than the drunken debauchery so I love seeing these.

New Orleanians have always found ways to have fun with adversity. Whether this mayor was justified in cancelling Mardi Gras 2021 or not, she did it. And it was either riot, curl up in a ball inside a dark cave and pout, or find ways to have fun with the restrictions. In true NOLA tradition, a lot of people chose to have a little fun. I can think of much worse options.

Downtown will be bumping next Friday and Fat Tuesday like usual.

It's sad when sarcasm is actually just a verbatim recitation of the prevailing sentiment.

I also grew up calling it the J Edgar Monroe house, but technically it's the Benjamin house. Monroe was a subsequent owner. Emile Weil was the architect. I have been inside. It's amazing.

Also, bringing this thread full circle, one of the houses you captured is home to a brand new LSU football recruit.

Good work. And cheers, from an old uptown snob.

House Floats?

Honestly, NOLA deserves what they're getting.

Your number 10 is the Centanni House and it revived their Xmas decorations this year. It was once the place to see Xmas decorations in the city and most of their stuff was donated to City Park for celebration in the oaks. Glad to see they decorated for this as well now the the house is back in the family
