Mandina's does private parties and can accommodate 18 easy.
Taste is great. I add in a pinch of sea salt for remineralization, but they sell in-line remineralizing components too.
I have had this system for almost 4 years. Love it. And the price is the same today as I paid 4 years ago.

Good point. Our kids are younger than OP's.

We didn't spend much time at the beach. The shuttle is nice for getting across, but if you are there for maximizing beach time and want to duck out for lunch real quick, it is inconvenient
Been previously with young kids (under 5). Going again in late August. Did not find it to be crowded and it was relaxing.

Caribe is a good place to stay. Nice pools, lazy river, convenient location to get to Pensacola or back into OB/GS.
Are you hooking this up to a 20 lb tank? Make sure the knob on the heater is set to off when you connect the tank. Tank valve should also be closed.

Open tank valve before turning on heater knob. It does sometimes take a while to get the pilot lit.
Mr Buddy heaters are 100% efficient with built in oxygen sensors. About as safe for indoor use as anything.

Assuming you want an upgrade to the sub-date that is also a diving/date watch, I am throwing another brand in the mix. Blancpain.

It caught my attention eye on an end cap. I do not regret the decision I made. In fact, I will be going back to get more since I am here at the beach for the rest of the week

Houston is huge, so it depends on what side of town. Solid recommendations in here. I'll add one for the north side of town...

Immerse yourself in local culture...have a drink at the " Cat's Paw"

For some time outdoors, the Hyalite Creek/Reservoir area is a good place to take a walk through the woods.
I’ll second Rays. It’s such a gem. The food is reasonably priced and consistently good.

I’ll also be specific about Katy Asian town - Corner 99 has some delicious food. Particularly pho and grilled pork spring rolls.
I was lured here by a sign that claimed, “so much jerky, you’ll go blind”.

Having been to a Buc-ee’s previously, I was severely disappointed.

I've seen this approach with egg rolls. Not sure that it quite took off, but it was a sound concept.
