COVINGTON, La. (WVUE) - Researchers based at Tulane‘s National Primate Research Center in Covington are about to embark on a program designed to find a vaccine for coronavirus.

On a sprawling 500-acre campus just off busy Highway 90, Covington researchers are finding solutions for the coronavirus. The outbreak has now spread to nearly 20 countries including the United States and new safety procedures are being stepped up.

Dr. Jay Rappaport will lead a team that will soon receive live samples of coronavirus, so that they may begin cutting edge lab work in search of a vaccine.

great, so they have successfully kept it contained for the most part yet now they are bringing it all over the country so different labs can work on vaccines for it

what could possibly go wrong with that when it gets out, and it will get out because people are stupid and careless

I am more concerned that they are letting their minds loose. It is one thing to lose your mind but to voluntarily let it loose like that is something else entirely.

Scary stuff.

No sweat. Just as long as you aren't one of those people who doesn't know the difference.

Just called friend in Covington who is a big FB person. Told her to post this just to stir people up. Should be good.

Didn’t they create AIDS the last time they tried something like this? Seems like I read a book about that.

Treating the virus with HIV drugs and researching a cure at a facility that specializes in Aids research must be a coincidence. Manufactured virus? Not a chance
