Congrats. But I’d rather not be essentially “released from prison” to start a new life after missing some of the best years of your life. Only THEN to still be poor.

And actually NO, I don't have to work. Ever. I can easily love off 65k a yr without a large house note. Yes I can.

Might need to change your name to EBT for this

Not if you plan to have kids or go on vacations. That hot wife ain't going to live on 65k budget for long...

If that’s how you want to do it go for it.

I am not driving a freaking truck for a living and dealing with the bullshite. My dad was a trucker.

I’ll take my cushy office job at the OTs favorite $350.

Not sure I understand living in the truck as a means of saving money. The mere fact of waiting to get married until mid 30s, no wife, no kids, and not a lot of debt, will do it.
I bought a 4500 travel trailer for a deer camp. It’s pretty nice as a deer camp. I could probably be able to live in it if I was 25 again. It’s a hell of a lot nicer than being inside a semi truck 24-7…

Life is short. Living in a truck makes it shorter.

The lesson here is to grind to get what you want; whatever that may be.

. I try to eat chicken as much as possible in the evening. During the day I'll eat some chicken salad with 5 crackers or a sammich lol. When I get to a truck stop that has cooked food I'll eat a good meal. I eat an apple, granola or small bag of chips during the day to snack. Mornings I have coffee daily and eat a sausage/egg/cheese croissant if I have any or the cup of Jimmy Dean eat /sausage and cheese meal. Nothing great but it works. I drink nothing but propels everyday. Prolly 3/4 a day at least. It's not lettuce but I'm good.

North Louisiana but would relocate to wherever the business is. Looking at options in GA, NC, and VA. If it’s VA then I’m gonna make a point of acting like the biggest redneck on the planet just to scare the beltway Karen’s.
I can't tell you if your opening a trucking business you want to be near Atlanta/Houston or DFW. The work there is crazy.

Hope you don't have to lose 200 pounds, quit smoking, and give up crank to enjoy your nest egg.
Really awesome plan if you start young enough. Hard to do if you want kiddos and actually be around for them.
Congrats on the bank roll, that's amazing

Im lucky I'm not obese, dont use, don't smoke, hardly drink so. Kids will come or not.

The trick is living off of $65k/yr after this. I’m hoping for 4-5x that before thinking about retiring. They say that you spend less money in retirement, but I don’t see it. All the free time for projects….i would think that I would spend more.
